Nothing! It might be handy to have access to iPlayer or smart TV if the weather is poor, but we had perfect weather all week

The view from the kitchen window is stunning.

Chairs in lounge could have been comfier but I expect that would be the same almost everywhere we go. We all like our own chairs don't we.

"Week away with dogs."

Everything, cottage was lovely and welcoming, clean, beds were very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm. The bath is very deep, great for chilling. The view from the kitchen window is just Wow! Absolutely stunning.

Very comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful views. Great binoculars!

All good. Just wished there were more windows facing the view over the loch towards the Shiant Islands!! I spent a lot of time standing at the sink so I could enjoy the view, watch boats, birds etc.

Perfectly located, superbly appointed, immaculately presented. Ken and Isabel kindly met me at the house in spite of a very late-night arrival, and their care and attention was reflected in my whole experience of Shiant View. The property is ideally positioned as a base for exploring all the magic of Lewis and Harris, and equally good for simply stopping to decompress. If you're there to rest, stop for groceries at Stornoway before you head for the cottage and then burrow into the comfort until it's time to leave again!

"First class!"

A superb wee house nestled in a remote location surrounded by beautiful views and an abundance of wildlife. Whilst the location was off the beaten track it was only about an hour's drive to all the places we wanted to visit. Bit further to get to South Harris and the top end of Lewis. The house is spacious and fully equipped and that really does mean fully! The wine and flowers from Ken and Isobel were a lovely touch. The garden is enclosed so fantastic for dogs. It would be hard to find a better place to stay in our opinion. Our thanks to Ken and Isobel for providing such wonderful accommodation.
