Pension Syo

Lovely and warm place to stay, conveniently located to Hakuba ski slopes and Echoland. Jun and his family are welcoming and friendly. We had a wonderful stay with them.

The staff were so friendly & helpful. Under floor heating in the room, nice restaurant, good location - close to shuttle bus stops, restaurants & Main Street was a short walk away.

Very friendly host, beds were comfortable. The place is not new, but well looked after and affordablel The floor heating made the room temperature nice after a full day skiing. Nice and quiet surroundings. Great with storage for ski equipment in the basement.

Pillows were a bit flat, but the host supplied extra pillows for all of us, so no problem. The rooms were a bit small consideringer we were skiing and had lots of clothes with us.

Jun-san was very friendly and accommodating! Good location and comfy place :)

The property was in perfect condition, in a prime location and the staff were very professional and respectful.

Jun and his family were always SO kind and helpful. The owner booked a transfer for us to an airport far away, and offered to drive us to the station at 6am ! Dont know what we would have done without him! Always so friendly and went above and beyond for our big group of 8. Great location with a ski shuttle at the front door, a cute pub very close and a quick shortcut to the Echoland main street. Delicious food in the restaurant on site and heated floors in room were such a treat. We would definitely come and stay again. Thank you Jun, Yoko and Hina <3

Everything was great

Jun and his family did a really good job at making you feel welcome and helped us out when we needed. They have a great little Italian restaurant attached with pizza, pasta and hot pot if you don't want to venture out. The location is in a fantastic spot with 2 bus stops (one just out the front for Hakuba 47 and one just down the road for Happo One) which are generally first on the route so you'll always get a seat. The main road for food and bars is only 5 mins walk away. In reach of the bathrooms there is an onsen where you can relax privately after a long day in the hill. We had a great time staying here, I'll come again next time I visit Hakuba.
