The Station

It was cheap and in the right place for my purposes. There was parking available and there were some good cafes within walking distance for a decent breakfast. At least the bed linen was clean.

Meeting cockroaches on the stairs when going up to my room was not encouraging. I didn't much fancy walking around the room in bare feet. The staff were clearly under pressure; some remained pleasant, though some were a bit surly.

The member if staff on duty when I arrived was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The decor is in need of a makeo er in the rooms and so wouldn't suit some people but it was very clean and the great staff made my visit very pleasant.

Over a busy pub and charming staff, the check in was efficient and I got a reciept which was nice. Parking until 0830 on the road outside with yellow line.

Suited me but I enjoy a place with character and atmosphere

Quiet location close to M25. Free parking.

Basic amenities with only communal shower/toilet. Bit of a run-down pub lacking any ambiance. Basic menu.
