"A very Warm Welsh Welcome which is not to be missed."

10.0

Very warm welcome. House is lovingly restored & furnished with antique furniture & it is so lovely to have silverware to use at breakfast or when making a coffee. The rooms are huge & everywhere is beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean. Ample parking in the grounds. Very large garden to enjoy. A cooked breakfast is prepared to order & the fresh fruit & coffee is a perfect way to start the day. The house is secluded & peaceful with fantastic views. It is easy to walk into the village to visit the local pub or 5 minutes by car & you are in the next village which has many pubs & shops to choose from. Will definitely rebook when visiting the area as we had such a lovely stay.

Nothing could be improved.

"We had a fabulous stay and Cath and Rory we exceptional hosts, friendly and kind, where nothing was too much trouble. Br"

Lovely period property , set in idilic gardens. The interior is of period design and furniture. Loved the bathrooms with the old style toilets and original flooring. It was absolutely spotless throughout. It is only a short walk into Crickhowell with local amenities, great area for walking.

There was nothing we could find.

"Incredible Experience!"

10.0

We had a fabulous stay at the Llangattock Park House! We thought we were just booking a little B&B by the National Park but this stay was an experience in itself! The property was a historic summer home of the 7th Duke of Beaufort built in 1837. The house is grand and very well maintained. Beautiful period furnishings await you as well as fresh cut flowers from the garden and classical period music playing softly in your room. We were greeted by our host Rory upon arrival with a tray of tea with cookies. The room was spectacular! All the period furnishings and antiques made it feel like you're in a Downtown Abbey film about their summer home. Instead of being stuffy and tattered as many period pieces in museums are, these have been meticulously maintained and it really brings that time period to life! The room we were given had 2 baths, each with original toilets, clawfoot tubs and sinks from the time period. We were so relaxed during our stay we almost did bother leaving to see the national park. The hosts laid out books on the history of the property for you to read as well. And then the breakfast! Our host Catherine went all out of her way to accommodate my dietary restrictions (gluten and dairy free) and served us a fresh, made to order breakfast (you get to choose from a menu) as well as an assortment of sides from a buffet set up in the dining room overlooking the gorgeous garden and fountain! It was spectacular and antiques were incorporated into the dining room set up that made it feel very time period as well. We would highly recommend Llangattock Park House.

It was a very special place to stay in a beautiful stately home, with the suite being very grand and lovely gardens. We felt that we were experiencing the grandeur of the past with so many beautiful historical features and we were fascinated by the history of the house shared. We cannot recommend it enough and would give it a rating of way beyond ten if possible. It is definitely the nicest place we have stayed on many breaks away. As well as being nestled in the beauty of the Brecon Beacons and with easy access to the town of Crickhowell and many walks and outdoor activities, the hosts - Rory and Cath - go above and beyond to ensure you have an amazing stay. Whilst the facilities and all provided , such as breakfast, is fantastic, the warmth, interest and hospitality of the hosts have made this a break to remember.

"Fabulous location, superb accommodation, delicious breakfast a d"

10.0

Llangattock Park House is a hidden gem in a beautiful part of Wales. Our hosts Rory and Catherine were so welcoming giving us information about our room and ensuring we had everything that we needed, even bringing up a tray of tea and home made Welsh cakes which were delicious. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations for the price we paid, a beautifully decorated period room with a very comfortable 4 poster bed from which we woke to stunning views of the superb grounds and mountains.

Nothing. We had a fabulous stay.

"We would love to return"

Thank you to Rory and Catherine who are great hosts. The warm welcome with homemade cakes was delightful; the bed was really comfortable with excellent quality bed linen and towels. The beautiful decor and lovely furniture, with a bowl of fruit and sherry in the room added to our enjoyment. The breakfast was first class!

"Absolutely Perfect"

10.0

My wife and I first stayed at Llangattock Park House during 2019, it exceeded all our expectations then and has done so again. This Bed & Breakfast is a perfect retreat from the stresses of everyday life. Rory and Catherine are wonderful hosts, we received a warm, Welsh welcome from them, with tea and delicious homemade Welsh cakes served on our arrival. As soon as you step through the impressive front door you truly feel as if you have stepped back in time with the beautiful decor and lovely furnishings. We stayed in the Duke of Beaufort room which is huge (unlike other bed & breakfasts and hotels we have stayed in where the rooms are cramped and disappointingly small). Having not one but two large en-suite bathrooms solely for ourselves was pure luxury, one with a canopy bath which is amazing. The half-tester bed is so comfortable we slept like babies. Fresh fruit and a decanter of sherry were left in our room for us to enjoy, the breakfast was first class and filled us up for the entire day. Crickhowell is an easy ten minute walk with it’s pubs and lovely shops and the Brecon & Monmouth canal is literally a two minute walk away. We have stayed in a vast number of hotels and Bed Breakfasts all over the world, this one is definitely in our top 3. We noted in our 2019 review that we have stayed at The Ritz Hotel in London and without a doubt, Llangattock Park House can easily compete with these standards. Again we rate our stay at Llangattock Park House as one of our most enjoyable breaks away ever, this Bed and Breakfast is a hidden gem, if you want to stay in Llangattock this is definitely the accommodation to book. ‘Thankyou’ Rory and Catherine for once again making our stay so very memorable. We are returning again in September.

Absolutely Nothing!
