"Not for us and won’t stay again"

1.0

Location perfect and they let us book in early

Kitchen dirty with used plates and utensils…though it was because we booked in early but still same next day plus extra all over living room. Men knocking on our door making us feel uncomfortable…didn’t feel comfortable to leave room.

location was walking distance to train station

place was really unclean, had not been hoovered at all - clumps of hair on landing and in bedroom, crumbs and toenails all over the carpet. lots of dust in bathroom too. no blinds in the bedroom meant the light woke us up at 5am, and there was really noisy bulding work at 5am also. the app for getting into the building wasn't ideal as we arrived after a gig with next to no battery - we had to charge our phone in a nearby pub to get in. there was also shared kitchen and living room area we weren't aware of before staying, there was a keypad lock on our bedroom door but we weren't given the code for this so felt quite unsafe leaving our belongings in there as anyone could access it

"Not a place I ever want to return to"

2.0

see item 7 below

1. The exterior (street) door has a locking system that requires you to download, register and use a Yale app, I had to make three phone calls to the “host” to eventually obtain the link to the app. despite being promised it on the first two occasions. It finally came shortly before my planned journey to Yorkshire. 2. When I arrived and entered the shared lounge area I met a (quite friendly) young man who explained that he had been in the accommodation for several weeks, having been placed there by social services. (I don’t know how legal it is to mix social housing “clients” with paying private users – take note Booking.com) 3. The kitchen had not been cleaned. The sink was full of dirty dishes with the remains of several curry meals, the microwave interior was spattered with curry and the fridge also showed how popular ready meal curries are in this accommodation with a yellowy brown liquid at the bottom. 4. There was virtually no cutlery available. (Three table knives – all dirty, one fork – also dirty and NO spoons of any size.) 5. Beneath my room there was a very loud disco bar with “thumping” music right through Saturday evening. 6. Parking outside the accommodation after 6pm is free and was quite easy on Saturday night, but during the day parking in the area generally is difficult and expensive. 7. Having said all this, the accommodation was actually quite well furnished and comfortable.

"Probably worth £40 per night not £56"

I liked how laid back everything was - just left to our own devices and landlord/owner was very helpful and nice

I would of liked it if there was actual curtains on the windows - as the windows are above the bed as soon as the sun came up that kept me awake all morning was awful. Also a mini kettle and some coffee would of been good :)
