DONNAPAOLA MODERN FARM

Perfect in every way. This vast property is managed by the chef who cooks the best meals and shows guest around to tell everything about the farm and philosophy behind it. With a central restaurant (walking distance from sleeping facilities) and a sleeping facility with communal kitchen, pool and 7 rooms, the accommodation feels intimate. The setting is rural but perfectly located to explore the nature in the area and to visit villages such as Matera. The food from the restaurant was lovely and it was fun to be surrounded by all the farm animals. During our visit they were building a second accommodation of 7 rooms seperated from the first and they were building a small agriculture school. Curious how those will turn out, would love to come back in the future!

We didn’t mind but the property is reached through by a dirt road.

Eris made us feel like family. He welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. We were surprised to find out that he was also the chef!! Excellent dinners! Breakfast was also wonderful made even more special with Angela’s delicious baked goods - a different variety each morning!! We had a fantastic time!

Just be aware the place is a bit remote... but that's also what's great about it.

Staff was exceptional ,accommodating,welcoming, a few people did everything .very warm greeting each time we entered main gathering/dining room. Made us feel very special. Loved the dogs and cows and being surrounded by nature

The rural location.The farm and its cattle and the Abruzzese dogs! All the staff were very friendly, efficient and obliging. Our accommodation was so good. The food provided was excellent, too. A lovely, clean swimming pool in a most peaceful location.

Maybe swap one of the hard pillows for a softer one. The room could do with a tall mirror. The shower glass facing bed could benefit from being frosted glass for extra privacy. Perhaps add a few wall hooks in the bathroom and a shelf in the shower cubicle.

The property is newly constructed including all luxury details and to suit the comfort during your stay. Easy access to the main reception for breakfast and food. The whole concept of the farm art accommodation is unique and well laid out for amazing tourist attraction. Well set up for kids activities. Very nice and welcoming staff and owner.

The location is beautiful and the rooms, pool and where you eat are very stylish.

There were simply not enough staff. Our shower leaked very badly and was also blocked. No one came to sort it after two complaints. No one cleaned our room nor did they replace toilet roll until we asked for it. The breakfast was just cake and not enough savoury food. The dinner was fine but not great and there were not enough staff so it was very slow.

The staff and cuisine were top notch. Location was a little off the beaten road. Actual location was very nice. Planned and developed with a vision .

If we asked for towels , we would get hem. There were only two workers and so I can understand how they had to prioritize but would have been nice to have daily room service.

Super location! Beautiful huge rural estate with just a few buildings for the guests and cows. Staff works very hard to make your stay pleasant. Breakfast and dinner are very good using local products. And the Wifi has been updated: works excellent! Special thanks to Eris for all the care!
