Baan Orapin

It’s a little paradise surrounded by lush vegetation. The property is absolutely beautiful - full of old-world charm with lots of small Thai lanterns that give it such a warm atmosphere. It doesn’t feel like a hotel at all. The wooden villas are stunning, and the pool is immersed in nature. Breakfast can be a bit slow if you’re in a rush to head out for the day, but otherwise it was very good - especially the Thai breakfast option cooked minute. The staff are incredibly kind, and the whole place is peaceful and quiet. The location is perfect: we walked to Chiang Mai Old Town every day, morning and night, it’s an easy & safe 20-minute walk. Just five minutes from the property, you’ll find plenty of markets, riverside restaurants, Chinatown, and even a super delicious cake shop right in front of the hotel, plus a great coffee spot nearby. Our villa had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room (we were 4 ppl). It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Every evening at sunset, someone would come to light a mosquito coil for us, such a thoughtful touch. You can't smoke front of the villas - you have to go next to the car park (1min), but this isn't really a big deal. Hands down the best accommodation we had in Thailand. We'll visit again if we come back to Chiang Mai.

Emplacement idéal à proximité immédiate de tout, tout en étant très calme et plein de charme Jardin magnifique, maison typique du début du siècle. A 15/20 min de la vieille ville, du night market et à 10min de flower market Parking sécurisé

Rien Prix de la nuit un peu élevé pour le nord de la Thaïlande mais c’est vraiment un beau Bed and Breakfast

Real oasis in the city!

Very tranquil

La maison familiale centenaire est magnifique et les petites bâtisses ou sont situées les chambres dans le parc sont masquées par un végétation très bien entretenue. La piscine trouve sa place dans cet écrin de verdure. Il y règne un calme appréciable. Le personnel est dune attention remarquable et dune discrétion qui l'est tout autant. La literie est de qualité. Les petits déjeuner typiques qui peuvent être commandés pour le lendemain sont vraiment excellents. Et les formules basiques le sont tout autant. On se sent rapidement a l'aise et presque comme chez soi.

Ik had vooraf van anderen gehoord dat je “binnen de oude stadsmuren” moest zijn, want dat zou de leukste plek van Chiang Mai zijn. Daarom had ik in eerste instantie ook daar iets geboekt. Maar toen kwam ik Baan Orapin tegen en dacht ik: dit ziet er zó fantastisch uit – zulke mooie tuinen en zulke goede beoordelingen – dit is precies waar ik naar op zoek ben. Achteraf ben ik zó blij dat ik die keuze heb gemaakt. De oude stad bleek inderdaad voor mij veel te druk en te lawaaierig, terwijl je bij Baan Orapin echt in een groene oase terechtkomt. Overal bloemen, kleuren, vogels — het voelt alsof je midden in de natuur verblijft, maar dan met het comfort en de warmte van een kleinschalige boutique accommodatie. Het ruikt er heerlijk (jasmijn!) en het is echt een plek waar je tot rust komt. De kamer was enorm en ik had alle ruimte die ik nodig had. De douche was lekker warm en het voelde veilig en knus. Heel belangrijk voor mij want ik reis alleen. Wat ik ook geweldig vond: je zit toch binnen een paar minuten in de stad. Over de voetgangersbrug ben je vrij vlot in de oude stad. Naast Baan Orapin zit zelfs een koffiebrander met fantastische koffie en aan de overkant kun je terecht voor heerlijke taartjes. En aan de rechterkant van de voetgangersbrug zit een uitstekende massagesalon — na mijn massage kon ik zo zwalkend mijn bed in, zalig. Het ontbijt was heerlijk, het personeel ongelooflijk vriendelijk en lief, en het zwembad — al was het fris Kortom: Baan Orapin is voor mij een dikke 10. Ik kom zeker terug!
