Walmsley Motel Mangere

No bath mat or face cloths. No duvet cover. No extra blankets. Dirty curtains, dishes, carpet. Mattress was wet. Upstairs family extremely loud. Rubbish and weeds outside. No sharp knives. Fridge didn't fit into kitchen nook and extremely wobbly.

I have to give this property an amazing review. It’s not 5 star and it doesn’t claim to be but this was a last min booking due to a cancelled flight. I was out in the cold at 10:30pm at night and no one was awake. The office was closed. The assistant manager found me crying outside and made an exception for me. There was one room left but it wasn’t clean. He went above and beyond to quickly clean it for me so I had a warm place to sleep for the night. There were many cancelled flights and no hotels had room. Vinay went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Bringing some food for me as well. Amazing kiwi hospitality, you have done Nz proud. As an expat myself I cannot speak more highly. Thank you so so much.

They just need to update their office hours on booking.com. If I knew they were closed and weren’t accepting check-ins I would not have booked. But anyway it all worked out in the end.

Everything was below average cockroaches in the room jus a horrible dirty place. Overall worst motel experience would’nt go back there ever. Went to the office no one to meet or greet. Location is good.

Only thing going for this place was the proximity to the Airport

It was disgusting. Dirty carpets, shoes stuck to floor in kitchen, mould in many areas including shower curtains, on the windows even light switch in bathroom. Basin was partially blocked. Kitchen was gross, stuff left in drawer mouldy, no kettle despite being left milk and tea and coffee, everything was filthy. Room smelt bad. Marker pen drawings on the couch and looked like nail polish on couch. Got there just after 5pm. Office locked up. Called the office and was advised they had assumed we weren't coming so they went home. Was told room left unlocked for us. We had no pillows - they sent someone back some 2.5hrs later with pillows. This was the only staff member we saw. The sheets and towels were the only clean things in the room.

Plenty of parking, beds where nice. Location was easy to get to and price was fair.

The room was pretty dirty, giant fridge in the room with milk in it turned off. Ants everywhere in the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom and bath didn't look clean what so ever.

Space. Nice and big.

Bathroom abit mouldy. Kitchen space wasnt cleaned well. Spiderwebs in few corners
