I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly, the room was fantastic. The view and location was outstanding! My friends and I had many scenic photos in and around the ryokan. Also, the indoor bath was wonderful too!

Room was very big with a nice view. Facilities in the room were also very good. 2 onsens in the building which were great.

The rooftop bar was closed for renovations, but we were not informed of this. We requested a massage for the evening in the afternoon, were told to wait for confirmation and finally told at 9pm that they were fully booked so we couldn't get a massage. Overall we didn't feel it was giving us the value we were paying for.

A beautiful location. Rriver view is outstanding! During cherry blossoms, it should be absolutely magical. The room is a great combination of a traditional ryokan and a modern hotel, has everything you need for comfortable stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. We also were allowed to leave our luggage before check-in. We visited public baths and liked it.

This is a wonderful ryokan. The building, location and room are great. we got the room with an partial open air bath and it was excellent. The staff was professional, kind and helpful. We felt very welcome even as foreigners. I do wish that expedia would list the schedule for the dining options because the Ryokan restaurants are only open certain days and require reservation so we missed out on dinner. It's a bit of a long walk from the train station but not terrible. It should also be noted on the expedia page that they will pick you up but you have to schedule 48hrs in advance.
