GBLovely location on the shore of lake Malawi. Staff are very friendly and the setting is just beautiful. We were only there for the one night, yet found it to be peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are basic and some need a little bit of a refurbishment, though perfectly adequate for what we needed.
MWThe position, just been infront of the lake, possibility to interact with the locals. The staff was kind and very accommodating. Also liked the fact there was a fridge in the cottage
The cooker in the cottage could have been cleaned before. The first night, the stir fried rice was delicious and not the second, it was obvious the chef had changed.

Not a lot to be honest. Shower worked and was hot and the bed was ok. So if anything a new mattress but the whole stay was generally great.

NLBeautiful location with a nice view of the lake. Restaurant has some good options for dinner.
Bathroom is basic and everything gets wet when taking a shower. You can choose the breakfast options from the menu and some are very complete while others are smaller. We requested to add something extra for the smaller option and got charged quite some extra while it was part of one of the breakfast option.
MWThe views and location were fantastic. The wonderful breakfast was unexpectedly included in the room rate.. the coffee is fantastic.
Mgoza has a great reputation for the restaurant but sadly when we were there we struggled to order as every menu item we tried to order was unavailable. Bar very poorly stocked too
GBWe had a fantastic stay at Mgoza lodge. The room was spacious and clean. The bar/restaurant and garden areas are great places to relax and enjoy the stunning view of lake Malawi, as well as talk to other guests. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious. The local community around the lodge are friendly. There was often electricity cuts (not through the fault of the lodge) so a torch and battery bank was useful to have. We only wished we could have stayed longer!
ATVery nice and cozy lodge right on the beautiful beach. The restaurant and the beautiful garden land one to let the soul dangle. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be happy to come again.
