Pietra Viva

At Pietra Viva we found everything that we needed for our stay in Siracusa. A great location - near the sea, the market, the Temple of Apollo, 15 minutes walk from the train and bus stations, and at the same time in a quiet charming street of the Fishermen's quarter. The house is very clean, beautifully furnished and well-equipped (there was even coffee, mineral water and a bottle of great Sicilian wine), with a really comfortable large bed. And the host is exceptional - he took us from the station, told us what's best to do and see around, and when we had a case of emergency, he supported us as if we were a part of his family. We really hope to come back and enjoy the hospitality of Pietra Viva and the beauty of Siracusa!

Location is very central, kitchen is well equipped for family dining.

Heater in the upper room didnt work (it was rather cold at night: 7-9C), connection between upper sleeping room and entrance kitchen is via steep staircase (not appropriate for old people), towels were always wet because of improper ventilation.

the location was excellent, by walk we could reach all places in the city centre.

Luigi is a true gentleman. The flat is small, unfussy and very central. Hidden away in the old part of town it makes an excellent base for exploring, shopping, site-seeing, eating and meeting, with everything in walking distance. Hot shower, very comfortable bed, coffee machine (with coffee!). The quiet a/c's complement the car-free area. 1 minute to the sea.

Luigi is a great host. The place was better than expected. The breakfast was excellent!

The host, Luigi was very nice and helped us a lot The apartment is nice and well located.

The oven did not work and did not have microwave.
