Spectacular view . Very warm welcome .. just ask if you need anything .. above gallery of a very talented artist , who does absolutely amazing metal work . Comfy large bed . Located literally in the centre of it all .

We have just had a wonderful stay at The Gallery. The view couldn’t be more perfect. You are opposite Doc Martins house. The view of the little village and the sound of the sea has been calming, therapeutic and peaceful. We had the entire top floor which was very clean and comfortable, a bedroom, bathroom, living room and access to the garden and patio. The host Martyn is very friendly and a pure gentleman. He made us feel very welcome. We highly recommended this place to stay.

Unusual property being an Art Gallery to the ground floor that you walk through to go up two flights of stairs to the top floor We like the quirkiness of it

Some safety issues were concerning and should be pointed out properly in the description as many guests would not be able to access the facilities To walk through an extended window opening, with low frame, onto a gantry. then onto an open metal staircase to access the garden needed great care and attention. Many people would not like this, nor able to climb back through My husband hit and cut his head going through the window the first time Also the staircase to the top floor from the floor below had no secure separation. Therefore anyone could walk into your top floor suite. A coded staircase access would solve this The dormer in the bedroom creates a low beam and getting out of bed that side needs guest’s to be careful getting in and out of bed. I hit my head extremely hard at one such time which was very painful flu and has resulted in a large bruise. Not what you need at 2am just to use the bathroom We were aware there were no breakfast facilities offered but other tea/coffee/ drink facilities could be improved with more of a selection

On entering our room we were greeted with a welcome note and pear. The artist owners art is around the house aa well aa artifacts he has collected over time. Location is brilliant, bed very comfy.

We were unaware that external painting was underway and our window view was through the scaffold. The shower was snug, however had great pressure unfortunately not continuous water flow as the shower head was uncontrollable when water ran through it so we had to turn off and on. We were surprised to see previous guests rubbish still in the bathroom rubbish-bin.
