Great room on top floor with lots of light and a big view. We were just adjacent to rooftop terrace. Our first exposure to à grand Riad. Impressive architectural elements.

Merkezi konumlu, otel dekorasyonu şahane, fiyatı çok uygun.Akşam yemeği ve kahvaltı aldık turistlere uygun,beğendik. Otel resepsiyonisti beyefendi çok yardımseverdi. Her ihtiyacımızda yanımızda oldu ve güleryüzle yardımcı oldu.Şehirde yol gösterdi, bagajlarımızı taşıdı, klimamızı kontrol etti, odamızı değiştirdi, tüm sorularımızı memnuniyetle yanıtladı.Çok memnun kaldık.

"We felt very looked after and the place was a lovely introduction to the traditions of Fez"

9.0

Beautiful authentic traditional riad. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Haitham made sure we knew how to make our way round the old town (which can be complicated) and gave lots of helpful suggestions. Leila also went out of her way to help us. Amina is an amazing cook, we ended up eating all evenings!

"Fantastic--Kind, friendly, comfortable, great food, and they speak English!"

10.0

I'm an American woman in my 60s who speaks no Arabic. As a first-time visitor, the medina in Fes felt like a huge, disorienting maze—dim, narrow passages lined with men selling everything imaginable. My friends and I arrived late in the day to an Airbnb inside the medina that turned out to be unready and unsafe (no roof, no heat, no host, no instructions—though it looked great in the pictures!). With darkness falling, I quickly booked the nearest decent-looking hotel. I lucked out. I chose Riad Ouliya, a small jewel box in a beautifully restored riad. When I knocked, the manager, Laila, greeted me by name, sat me down, and handed me mint tea while I caught my breath. I later found out they had tried to come find me but I hadn’t answered my phone. From then on, I felt looked after. Haitham gave me his personal number in case I got lost or needed help (and meant it). They are kind, competent, funny, and speak English—hallelujah. The riad itself is beautiful. My room was spotless and very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the stay cost half what we paid for the Airbnb. My wifi worked well. There’s a rooftop patio with a view, though I didn’t make it up there. One night in the restaurant (delicious traditional food), we even met a family who vacations in the same tiny Maine town as we do. Pro tip: I thought I booked the last room, but they weren’t full—possibly a platform issue. If it looks booked, email them directly. A very nice breakfast is included. And in my opinion, you need a trusted, in-person guide your first time in the medina—I found mine in this staff. On my last morning, they left a portable breakfast on my door, and Haitham was ready at 3am to walk us through the medina to a taxi. The people at Riad Ouliya made an already memorable trip feel warm, human, and unforgettable.

Maybe a grab bar in the shower? Which reminds me: They supplied very nice soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
