The hosts were amazing, the property was brilliant

I am thinking. Everything was good

12 minutes easy drive into the centre of Canterbury. There was also a bus which passed the front door which went into Canterbury. It was also within a short drive to pretty gardens The surrounding countryside is very pretty with country gardens to visit close by. The property was well furnished and having 2 bedrooms with their own bathrooms was particularly nice. Having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom great for my eldery father. The dishwasher made eating in very easy. The owners were very helpful providing us with the few things which we needed for our stay.

There is no freezer in the property however the owner made ice for me and I'm sure would have made space in her outside freezer had I needed it. There is only a breakfast bar seating 2 people. There is a lovely garden with a good table and chairs to sit at however when it's a bit cold you really want to eat inside which is ok if there's only 2 of you. I couldn't open the bi-fold doors which made it extremely hot in the lounge, hopefully this issue will be sorted out and not an issue in the future. There is constant road noise which you get used to but if you are used to quiet at night you will need earplugs.

The Hayloft was beautifully presented with everything we could possibly need right down to cocktail making equipment!! Parking onsite was a huge bonus and our hosts were friendly and very accomodating! It was such a bonus to have two bathrooms so that the four of us were not queuing for the toilet or shower.

Absolutely nothing!

Beautifully renovated barn. Very friendly owners. Great communication. Private off street parking. Comfortable beds. Easy drive to Dover, and convenient bus ride to central Canterbury. Very highly recommended.

The place is beautiful. Finished to a high standard and very comfortable. Very well equipped for any circumstance within a self catering stay. Some lovely little country pubs and restaurants nearby. Very thoughtful owners.

I could not fault anything at all about The Hayloft

I would give 6 stars if I could! If you are lucky enough to have The Hayloft available for the trip and dates you need then ABSOLUTELY book here! The location, Surroundings, The building itself is exceptional and there is NOTHING that isn’t catered for as it’s VERY well looked after by a lovely family and Rex the ultra friendly dog.. (Good Luck getting his tennis balls from him)… DO absolutely recommend… WILL absolutely stay again… It’s a huge space big enough for Solo travels, Couples and families. 5 miles from Canterbury, excellent travel links, Use Willow taxis if you need to get about locally (I did to Faversham train station) and TOP TIP: If you are attending a wedding at Mount Ephraim Gardens, you CANNOT get any nearer than The Hayloft.. it’s 10 minutes walk. Thank You very much… Next time I’m bringing the Mrs 😃

Absolutely beautiful property! Spotlessly clean, smelt amazing and was equiped with everything you could ask for! Had a lovely eating area outside as well. We could quite happily have moved in! The hosts also left a lovely gift of wine, chocolates and crisps. Highly recommended. If we had to highlight anything, the upstairs bedroom could do with a curtain on the apex window as it did get very light early. We used to live in Boughton so know the area very well, but for anyone who doesn’t, there are beautiful country walks in all directions. An hourly bus service takes you to Faversham or Canterbury. Both have access to mainline train services. The property has onsite parking so easier to travel around with a car.

Very tastefully decorated with attention to detail, clean and comfy house. Everything you can possibly need is there including toys for kids. The pictures don't do the place justice. The house looks even a lot better in reality than on the photos. Friendly hosts and easy check-in. One of the best places we ever stayed in.
