The location was excellent for the activities we had planned. Our accommodation and the park offered lots of space, definitely not cramped for space. A blast from the past really, in a nice way.
The accommodation, facilities and site infrastructure were poorly maintained, but the accommodation prices and facility charges were solid (as for businesses in much better conditions). It felt like they were doing us a favor to let us stay as opposed to a mutually beneficial arrangement.

We stayed in a small cabin. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Good (paid) laundry, plus clotheslines. Close to "The Church" restaurant. We were able to leave early for our drive to Milford Sound.
Not a big deal at all ... the shared bathrooms were a bit dated, but there was lots of hot water for showers.
