The dorm type room had a good view and was different to a typical hostel set up being in an outhouse (with a view)

The barn did get quite cold and the wifi was not consistent.

great location, close to the start of my booked Doubtful sound tour. Peculiar and quirky camp, with lots of old vintage cars scattered around, but plenty of room to park and camp. Beautiful lake is right across from the camp. Facilities were decent. I booked bunk bed in mixed dormitory room. Bed was comfortable, room was spacious. Staff friendly, smooth checking in/out.

Stunning unimpeded view of Lake Manipouri from front windows! Good kitchen to prepare meals. One ensuite bedroom, so other couple could use the main toilet. Strong shower. Perfect location for Doubtful Sound trip. We have stayed here two nights several times when taking friends on a tour of the South Island.

It would have been better if the second bedroom had a queen bed instead of double. Seemed strange that campground office was only open for limited time, especially when one needed exact change coins to operate the laundry washer and dryer.

Otoczenie, w pobliżu pięknego jeziora, spokój. Wspólna kuchnia była wyposażona w sprzęty do gotowania, było krzeselko do karmienia dla dziecka. Łazienki wspólne były czyste.

Dostaliśmy malutki, dosłownie mini grzejnik, który nie był w stanie nagrzać pokoju w nocy, więc było bardzo zimno. Byliśmy z 16 miesięcznym dzieckiem, które też zmarzło. Na kolejną noc poprosiliśmy obsługę o normalny grzejnik, dostaliśmy trochę większy, ale sytuację zmieniło też to że była już trochę cieplejsza noc. Na podłodze wyłożona jest płyta osb, na zdjęciach nie widziałam takiej podłogi, więc nie nadawała się żeby dziecko chodziło w skarpetkach. Przez co wrażenie kompletnie nieprzytulnego i zimnego domku. Nie polecam dla rodzin z małymi dziećmi. W kuchni jak i w łazienkach krany są krótkie i ciężko myć naczynia jak i ręce, bardzo niewygodne. W dodatku żeby była ciepła woda trzeba naciskać cały czas trzymając krany, nie ergonomiczne, nie praktyczne.

Felt like we disturbed young lady to check it s in as she played with child on blanket. MASSIVE issue with church school kud group camping 10 metres from everyone. Loud, rowdy into the night. No sight of ANY management or support for any guests. We had to ask church group leaders to quieten 8 yr old kids at 1030 at night. Power to cabins, so pt a little fridge and TV in there. Expect that for the price. Outdated linen and furniture.

Die Elektrogeräte waren alt und nicht vertrauenserweckend. Ich habe bei der Buchung übersehen das es keinen Fernseher gibt.

The location was great! A nice walk into town. Beautiful views of Lake Manapouri. (We were in a two bedroom cottage). The kitchen was well stocked with dishes etc as well as coffee, tea, etc. Very roomy. The staff was super helpful whenever we needed information or assistance. Also, Manapouri is the place to stay if you are going to Doubtful Sound.

It was a bit dated, and there were some dead bugs on the window sills and ledges. Needed a bit of a better cleaning between guests, but I noted that they are seeking to hire someone extra for that. We were not bothered by any of it. (It is a campground, after all.)
