Combie Lane Apartments

The flat is very charming and is located on a lovely Scottish street, surrounded by traditional Scottish houses, a small woodland, and a square, giving it a very romantic atmosphere. It was clean, and the overall ambiance was very pleasant.

There were already several reviews mentioning this, but I didn’t believe them and decided to see for myself. The bed is a nightmare! It’s absolutely awful and impossible to sleep on. I had two terrible nights. On the first night, I managed to get a little sleep, but on the second, I didn’t sleep at all. It’s an old spring mattress that squeaks with every tiny movement—even your breathing. It’s unbelievable that they still haven’t replaced it. The sofa in the living room is also in terrible condition. It’s such a shame because, apart from that, it’s an excellent apartment.

There are no doormats either side of the door. The bed is very uncomfortable.(My husband slept on the floor for two nights.) We struggled to get hot water and heating, instructions would be helpful. The bathroom is clean and functional but antislip devices or grab rails would improve the facilities.

Smelled a bit musty and dishes didn't feel very clean. The spring bed makes a lot of noise, isn't very comfortable, and moves a lot.

The apartment was in a great location. Just a short walk from the train station and ferry. Food shops were just a short walk across the road. Apartment had just about everything you could need.

As stated in other reviews, the sofa was not comfortable and very saggy. There were lots of cobwebs in the living room. The mattress was very squeaky but was reasonably comfortable. There was black mould round some of the windows. Dusty skirting board in the bathroom. Slight musty smell when you walk in. Appreciate it is an older building. Could do with a deep clean and a lick of paint.

Cosy and well situated apartment in town, just off the main road. Really well appointed with good size sitting room and kitchen. Great for a short stay
