The Myrtles

The history of the property was very interesting. The grounds are beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great location.

Bed was a little uncomfortable but uncomfortable being it's older furniture. The shower for our room was very small. I couldn't even bend over to wash my feet. However, again the age and space in the property is limited so it's understandable.

Beautiful grounds

Breakfast was very subpar. Plate of food with sausage & hash brown was hard, maybe stale don’t know. We have been at Nottoway plantation and food was excellent. I expect more from a plantation to have a really good breakfast.

The atmosphere of the place is great. It is a historic property, but the building we stayed in is quite new, so it has all the comforts, while still remaining in the same style. The tour of the house was interesting, we also liked the porch and the patio where you can lounge by the fountain. Good breakfast at the café.

The food at the restaurant was to die for. I will go back just to eat there again

My sisters and I were shocked how beautiful the plantation was, wow! We liked the 3 bonuses: one free glass of champagne, one free breakfast and one free tour ticket. Amazing!

There is nothing we didn't like :D
