LuzBay Pool Apartments

Apartamentos elegantemente amueblados con todos los utensilios de cocina necesarios para una estancia más prolongada.

Poolområdet som ingår är jättebra. 3 pooler för olika åldrar och restaurang/bar. Läget på lägenheten var bra, promenadavstånd till allt eftersom Luz är litet. Lägenheten hade aircondition i 3 rum.

Städningen av lägenheten var inte klar när vi fick tillträde 16:00 vilket gjorde att ännu mer av första dagen försvann. Städerskan var trevlig och hjälpsam och lät oss ställa av packningen i ett rum så vi kunde gå ut medan hon försatte. Det fanns ingen städutrustning i lägenheten , så det blev väldigt sandigt med tre barn på 15 dagar. Köksutrustningen var dålig. Det fanns endast två gafflar fast vi var 5 personer, det ringde vi och påpekade och då fick vi fyra till. Slöa knivar, endast 2 vinglas osv. Nyckeln till dörren för att ta sig ner till poolen saknades. Detta påpekade vi och dom skickade dit någon för att fixa detta. Där försvann tre dagar som barnen inte kunde gå ner till poolen utan kort medan vi fixade i lägenhet. Det tog dom fyra besök att fixa låset och varje gång det kom någon hantverkare så slutade våra kort att fungera och vi fick gå till receptionen för att få dom fixade så vi kom in i lägenheten. Det fanns inga kuddar till bäddsoffan. Jag ringde och berättade att två barn ska sova där så vi behöver kuddar, då fick vi en kudde iaf.

La ubicación del apartamento es maravillosa, está dentro de un complejo, dónde hay una piscina para adultos (buena opción) y una para famílias. En las zonas cerca del apartamento hay opción fácil para estacionar.

Lamentablemente, el apartamento le faltan muchos utencilios de cocina y limpieza, por ejemplo falta de escoba que es muy importante al estar una semana entera, no hemos podido limpiar nada. Por otro lado, la limpieza es justa, la cocina carecia de limpieza. Estaría bien ofecer un pequeño quit de limpieza, es decir una pequeña dosis de lavaplatos, esponja, etc. Finalmente, la entrada al apartamento en la parte de fuera es muy oscura, se debería de poner una luz exterior. El sistema de persianas muchas no están en condiciones, algunas les cuesta subir o bajar. El enchufe del baño no había protección blanca, estaba todo arrancado, dando sensación de inseguridad.

Disaster start to finish. Check in process with Dream Algrave meant we had to travel from Luz to Lagos to collect the key at 4pm. We queued for 30 minutes and it was another 15 minute drive back to the apartment. Thankfully we had a car but it would be an impossible chcek in process if we did not. I was not made aware of this at the time of booking. Arriving there at 5pm, our apartment had not been cleaned. We were only staying one night and I spent the remainder of the evening on the phone trying to sort it out. Once cleaned we couldn't access our unit as our key keycard had been changed by the cleaner. It was 7.30pm before we finally had access to our apartment. Dinner reservations cancelled, kids distraught, friends that we had come to Luz to meet, let down. The stay was a disaster from start to finish and no compensation provided. Totally unacceptable that we could not access our apartment until nearly 8pm and check out was 10am the next morning. Very disappointed with Dream Algarve service. I should add that the staff in Luz Bay were very helpful and sorted key card issue for us immediately at reception..I would book direct with them in future

Collecting the keys from an office in the centre of Lagos was really inconvenient for us! We had made plans to sightsee elsewhere this day and the journey ate into our time. It is a 10 mile round trip from Praia Da Luz to their office. We arrived at the agreed upon check in time of 4pm, only to be told that the apartment had not been cleaned and staff could not give us the keys. By the time we were told the apartment was cleaned and we could enter the premises, it was 6pm, then we discovered we were given the wrong apartment number, and one that did not even exist! Next we struggled to find where `’Reception`’ was located to get them to help. We lost 3 hours of our one night stay and were not impressed with the ridiculous key collection saga we had to go through.

Spacious, clean apartment with pool access

The check-in procedure is a bit of a hassle. We were hiking fishermen’s trail and after booking we received info that we should pick up the keys in Lagos. After several calls we found a solution.

We love baia de luz, we have stayed at the resort many times. I'm thankful this wasn't our first visit. Firstly, we had to drive to Lagos to pick up the key. We paid extra because it was 9.30pm. The lady who received us was more concerned that we had the 20 euros in cash. Once we paid the money she looked at me blankly. Until I said, may I have the key? The key is the electronic sort. I asked what happens if there was an issue. She advised I could use the on site reception. So why did I drive 5 miles away to up a key!!!! 2 days later reception did issue a new key as ours had failed! The original key only worked for the apartment. Not the municipal areas, which previously had been the case on other visits. We made it work accessing the pool via the apartment rather than other access areas. We were only provided with one key! For an apartment for 4. The terrace furniture was unusable, when reported, I just got a note f thanks. It was not as per the photos. In stead it was plastic table and 2 chairs. One chair was split, which would have caused injury if we hadn't had noticed. Suffice to say we didn't use the terrace. The back door lock has been tampered with, so it hard to open. My daughter aged 11, couldn't manage it. So despite being a gated area, we had to escort her everywhere. There was no provision for cleanliness that you would expect. No soap. No tea towels, no sponges.
