Babbling Brook Cottage

Lovely cottage, had everything you could need , was warm and cosy , the Christmas tree was a nice touch , we went to the toll bar fish and chip shop first night, one of the best chip shops we been to, was given a free mulled wine and mince pie while waiting. We did a circular walk into eyam , weather was very wet and windy while we were there so we were quite muddy . Stopped at the miners arms in eyam for lunch very friendly staff , we had a meal at the moon inn that night which is bang across from the cottage , food lovely very quiet for a Saturday evening .

Busy road, steep stairs.

It was a beautiful cottage. Very comfortable and in a great location to explore all Derbyshire has to offer. Great to have an excellent , great Quality pub/ restaurant across the road.

Struggled a bit with the staircases being so steep.

The whole house is done to a very high standard with all needs taken care of. Ideally situated for the pub across the road and a chip pie five minutes walk away. As a village it is a perfect base for exploring the beautiful area with Eyam a five minute drive away.

Unfortunately the main road goes straight passed the house and the traffic noise is loud and constant, even during the night. The house is on three levels so if your mobility is not that good you could struggle, especially if carrying a suitcase up to your room. (Drop them off from your car outside the front door, not down the drive. The driveway to and from the parking area is very steep with bad visibility when entering the road, requiring a second person on foot to direct you.

Perfect location, super comfortable and immaculate cottage. Home from home. Just what we needed after a day walking. We loved our stay. Friendly and very informative host with clear direction and instructions..
