VILLA BAGUS - adults only hideaway

Really lovely guesthouse with beautifully decorated bungalows and a nice little pool in gorgeous Gili Air. Lovely customer service from the team. Nice, simple breakfast, good wifi, with lots of amenities in the room. A great choice if you're coming to the Gilis for some r&r.

We learned that the owner was away for the week and maybe this explains why a couple of things maybe didn't work as perfectly as they might usually have. We were told there was refillable water from the machine in the bar area, but I went to use it twice on different days and it was empty both times. Our fridge never got restocked with soda etc. I didn't get the breakfast I asked for one day. The bathroom had no hand towel so you couldn't dry your hands. These are minor things, but they add up, and the water thing was quite annoying on an island where you can't drink the tap water and you haven't bought any bottled water because you're trying to do the right thing...

We hebben tijdens ons verblijf redelijk wat overlast gehad van een huilend kind (kwam vanuit achter het verblijf). Villa Bagus kan hier niet zo veel aan doen, dat begrijpen we.

L’établissement est idéalement situé à proximité de restaurants et de commerce, et à 10 minutes de la plage la plus proche. Nous avons apprécié le côté intimiste des « cabanes » et les extérieurs verdoyants. Le personnel est très disponible pour répondre à toutes vos questions dès l’arrivée.

Le petit déjeuner n’est servi qu’entre 8h et 10h, ce qui peut être compliqué en cas d’excursion tôt le matin ou de départ tôt en bateau pour rejoindre Bali. Il y a un appel à la prière entre 4h50 et 5h tous les maisons mais des boules quies sont fournis par l’établissement pour limiter le bruit.

- l’établissement était sale - une odeur très désagréable - la chasse d’eau qui était cassée - pas de pression de la douche Nous sommes seulement rester 1 nuit sur 3 merci de répondre à ma plainte.

Lo staff è stupendo, estremamente gentili e sempre disponibili. Ci hanno fornito un’infinità di consigli e una guida con tutte le loro raccomandazioni sull’isola. È una struttura stupenda nella quale soggiornare

For us, Villa Bagus was the perfect accommodation on Gili Air! From check-in to check-out everything was super smooth and allowed us to relax completely during our stay! The accommodation is located centrally (~ 12 min walk to the beach) but you have the option to use sunbeds of partner hotels that are located right at the beach. We received great recommendations for Food etc. and felt well taken care of! There is also a supermarket right around the corner if you ever need something.

The only downside - which can not be influenced by the property however - was that our room was sometimes a little noisy due to the noises from a crying baby from the house behind our open bathroom.

Charmant bungalow typique au centre de l'île et dans la verdure de Gili Air. On a particulièrement apprécié la disponibilité du personnel (et Marco au top pour les recos) !

Dans l'ensemble l'hôtel est assez petit et les clients sont très proches les uns des autres. La salle de bain mériterait d'être remise au goût du jour et au niveau de standing de l'hôtel. La chambre pourrait être mieux insonorisée, les bouchons d'oreille fournis par l'hôtel étaient bien appréciés mais pas suffisant pour le prix payé.
