Only the flies - but that is not the property’s fault. Many horses in the area.

Our stay at Stonehaven was beyond expectations. The host Sven was a perfect gentleman, and he made us feel totally welcome at all times. Our stay was very, very comfortable, warm and safe. One could not wish for a better location, and the facilities were incredible. We will certainly be returning there to enjoy the peace and tranquillity, near the river. Thanks again Sven.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning lodge and we can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived after navigating down a rather challenging but very doable incline, we were impressed with breathtaking views. The landscape surrounding the lodge is simply spectacular, offering a sense of tranquillity that immediately helped us unwind. The garden is meticulously maintained, adding to the serene atmosphere and it's the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and spending quality time around a braai fire. The surroundings are peaceful with nature everywhere you look, making it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The self-catering unit is luxurious. It is incredibly well-appointed with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was clear in every corner, from the stylish decor to the high-end appliances. It felt like a true home away from home. Sven, the host, was absolutely fantastic. His welcoming was incredibly friendly and invited us for a drink at the boat house. His warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Overall, this lodge is the perfect place to take stock, relax and recharge. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a place to explore nature, this is an ideal spot. We will definitely be back!

Was a lovely stay. A bath would have made it better .

Absolutely magical! Incredible setting on the river with the most beautifully manicured garden. The unit was gorgeous, all the decor so carefully selected and having glass stacker windows around the entire patio allows for you to enjoy e picturesque sitting from your accommodation! Sven the host was divine, so warm and welcoming.

Nothing to complain about, everything exceeded our expectations!
