I absolutely loved my stay at Mantra. I spent seven nights on a solo trip and loved the quiet serenity. My room was peaceful and clean, and the staff were absolutely lovely. Plus the on-site yoga and Pilates facilities were a huge draw card for me. For exploring other parts of Uluwatu, it was easy to get around using Grab / Gojek … or a 10 min walk to the closest shops and restaurants (though not recommended to walk at night)

Nothing! Everything was great! But if I may add, bathrobes would be a wonderful addition, and perhaps a polite reminder to day visitors to not have extremely loud phone conversations while at the swimming pool (I have heard far too much info about a 24 yo American yoga teacher’s dating life for now)

The yoga was excellent. The açai and smoothies were super tasty. The common eating area is nice and comfortable to do some remote work. It's a good place if you want to be away from the noise of the city.

You need a scooter to go anywhere in town, it's very hilly and dark to get to the hotel, and there are many monkeys on the road, so I wouldn't recommend walking, even less at night. However, if you are comfortable with a scooter, the hotel helps you with the rental, prices are very cheap and you can get to town or to the beach in few minutes. The pool and recovery area are not the nicest, so we didn't spend much time in the hotel. Also the rooms don't have great views or balconies, but they have everything you need to have a good stay.

The room itself was excellent—very clean, well-designed, and featured a truly comfortable bed. A standout highlight is the wellness facilities; having a high-quality yoga space on-site is a huge plus, and the sauna and ice plunges are fantastic additions to the experience. The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to be helpful throughout my stay. I also highly recommend the breakfast - it was delicious and well worth it. While the pool is standard, it’s a nice spot to relax.

Be aware that not all rooms have the primary view of the pool and garden. My room was situated at the rear of the structure overlooking a small drainage canal and a construction site. While it was quiet at night, it lacked the 'wellness' atmosphere I expected compared to the front-facing rooms. Additionally, the vegetation around the pool felt overgrown—though this might be due to it being the end of the rainy season and just before high season. Ultimately, because of the room location and the lack of maintenance in the common areas, I personally wouldn’t choose to stay here again as it didn't meet the value I was looking for.
