The location is perfect, just a 2 minute walk into Ortigia, with plenty of choices for food and drinks close by. The property has been sympathetically refurbished keeping the architectural charm of the building but with modern clean finish. Out room was great and had a large balcony overlooking the marina, perfect to enjoy a drink and the views. Francesco was exceptional and went out of his way to make us welcome by ensuring we had a place to park right outside when we arrived, providing excellent recommendations for restaurants and giving some Sicilian sparkling wine for us to celebrate a birthday. There is free parking around the property, but there is also several paid car parks within a short walk. Easily the best accommodation during our time in Sicily.

Absolutely fantastic stay! Highly recommend Fortaleza Charm House! First of all, the service was exceptional — Francesco was super patient. We arrived bit early due to our travel schedule, and he kindly waited until 12:30 AM to welcome us. He gave a warm introduction to the room and facilities, along with great recommendations for dining and attractions. He also explained the parking options clearly. The house itself is full of character — uniquely decorated with a stylish touch. The biggest surprise was an ancient well preserved right inside the room! The courtyard is also lovely, perfect for relaxing and cooling off. There’s even a hidden induction cooktop and sink, which is super handy if you want to cook simple meals. Really wish we had stayed longer — would have loved to buy some fresh seafood from the market and cooked there! The location is ideal — just across the bridge from the fish market and local market. Attractions, restaurants, and cafés are all within walking distance. Especially worth mentioning is a breakfast café nearby — their croissants and pastries are delicious and high-quality! For parking, the host has his own garage, suitable for small cars. Since our SUV was too big, we parked at a nearby public parking lot for €15 per day, which was very reasonable. We stayed in high end hotels for 14 days in Italy and Sicily. Fortaleza Charme Suites was the BEST by a wide margin. An exceptional place to stay and we were treated exceptionally well. Stay here, you will love it!
