Station view apartment

Property advertised online as 3 beds (2 bedrooms and sofa bed in living room) but on arrival there was no sheets for the sofa bed. When we messaged the hosts we were told the sofa bed was for family use only and not for guests. The booking we made clearly stated 1 large double bed, 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed and the guest information book within the property even refers to the sofa bed (so clearly isn't just for family use!). We had to therefore make do with just 2 beds and could have saved a lot of money by just booking a property with 2 beds rather than paying for 3 and only getting 2.

We did not stay at the property, we paid £137 for the night , the beds had been slept in & dirty towels left in the shower, I am waiting for a full refund as we had to book alternative accommodation due to my mother in law who is 82 , being so upset by the whole experience, the property was dirty , we had to go up a back alley way to get to the flat , a man who was smoking maruana in his van was the neighbour in the flat within the building, however he was helpful in helping us , however in all I would not recommend staying here ever ! The owner was exceptionally unhelpful & I have given her my details for a refund as so close to Christmas, I had to pay another £220 for further accommodation & I had already paid £137 for the flat , that we didn’t stay in ! I am so unhappy with this experience, the photos do not give a proper view of the flat , as it is on top floor in an old building , the communal areas are filthy , the flat was up several flights of stairs & totally unsuitable for anyone with walking issues , awful ! Awful ! Still waiting for a refund

Perfect for what we needed. Clean and comparable. On a bus route 5 minutes to and from town. Dishwasher, washing machine, lovely bathroom. Kitchen had everything you need. 10 minutes from train station. Pubs and shops nearby.

We didn’t drive and accessing the property was very awkward if you didn’t drive. Having to go round back to get 5 sets of keys to access the property and to leave was very confusing and inconvenient. Maybe a set of keys at front for none drivers. The loft space next to the upper bedroom should be clean and locked. Very off putting. We had elderly mother with us who struggled immensely with the stairs. Please put on description of property as it is unsuitable for some people. There was a strong smell of smoke throughout the property.

Beautiful apartment modern and clean, loved the quaint garden area when we walked in, loved railway behind to watch trains, view from top floor was great!

On arrival the smell of stale smoke really strong made it feel unclean although the apartment was spotless, none of us are smokers so it wasn’t nice, and the welcome book did mention no smoking allowed so it was quite strange, the WiFi didn’t work although quick contact from the owner and she was very helpful but it never got fixed so we had to use our own data, the tv didn’t have any Ariel so we couldn’t get any channels so unable to watch tv either. We just slept there and left before 8am.

Clean and well equipped. Great location.

The smell of cigarettes from the neighbouring apartment is absolutely awful. It fills all the stairwells and infiltrates this lovely apartment. I suffer with asthma and this really affected my breathing. I really would take this into consideration when booking if you have breathing difficulties.
