Downs Hotel

Room was well looked after, clean and the bed was comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was a 10 out of 10. Overall fantastic value for money.

The pub is situated on quite a busy main road, however, the views are good. The outside of the pub could do with a bit of a facelift.

If you’re visiting for the football then this place is perfect. Only 2 miles from the Amex with a £6 return bus service in match days. Our room was very modern, clean and fictional. Also pretty spacious. Only food we had was breakfast but they were top quality with plenty choice. Staff amazing, friendly and helpful. Great vibe to the pub also. Couldn’t recommend enough

The accommodation was amazing, very good value for money. Food was excellent, staff were absolutely fantastic. Will most definitely go there again.

The only one issue was when entering the property there were quite a few people in the small alcove entrance smoking and they were also crowded around the doorway which unfortunately meant we had to walk through a smoke screen.

Ein sehr schöner Pub. Die Zimmer waren hervorragend und wir haben uns in diesen sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war lecker. Wir haben uns für das Hotel als Zwischenstop entschieden, da es in der Nähe der Fähre war und wir nicht nach Brighton fahren und das Hotel kostenlose Parkplätze hatte. Vom Hotel war es auch nicht weit zu den Seven Sister’s.

Eigentlich war alles prima. Am Wochenende hört man die Musik im Pub. Das sollte man wissen, wurde uns aber auch per e Mail vorab mitgeteilt. Das Hotel liegt an einer sehr befahrenen Kreuzung. Durch die Doppelfenster hat man das aber nicht gehört. Das Essen (wir hatten Burger) war ok. Aufgefallen ist uns, dass die Wassergläser auf den Tischen an denen wir gesessen haben, nicht besonders sauber waren.
