Downs Hotel

Gutes Pub & Restaurant, gutes Essen, alles sauber und modern. Trotz der Lage an der Straße sehr ruhig auf dem Zimmer.

Der Manager hat uns über eine junge Angestellte aufgefordert, das wir das inkludierte Frühstück noch einmal zahlen sollen, weil er der Ansicht sei, das wäre nicht im Preis drin gewesen. Haben wir nicht gemacht. Trotzdem ärgerlich.

The staff are so nice and attentive. The bed was so comfortable My husband said the breakfast was the best he had in a while.

The only annoying thing was the main road. Cars with load music all hours of the night

Easy access. Safe free car park attached. Bus stop opposite, easy catch into Brighton town centre. Co-op store across the road. Room and bathroom refurbished. Little comforts like 2 chairs, small desk, beside lamps plus reading lamps, heated towel racks. Great food, nice people.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to stay there as our booking was cancelled by the hotel on the morning of our stay. Was told by the hotel it was a booking.com admin error but after speaking to booking.com they said it would likely be an error on the hotels side. Not very happy as had to find alternative accommodation at very short notice.

de lokatie, het uitzicht was mooi. De bus naar Brighton was makkelijk en prima.

Aankomst was iets te vroeg, maar moesten echt wachten. De douche was een groot probleem. Water liep niet weg. Geen andere kamer beschikbaar. Noodoplossing met ontstopper, hielp ook niet echt. Parkeren was voldoende ruimte, maar van te voren werd er op gewezen dat het een probleem zou kunnen zijn. Ontbijt niet goed. Te vet. Dit was een grote tegenvaller. ( Deze vakantie 14 lokaties gehad en deze lokatie was de op 1 na slechtste, helaas).
