Gap Retreat

Owners came to show us how to use different facilities, heating etc. and help us get settled. They were very pleasant and accommodating, able to provide high chairs and travel cots. The large kitchen facilitated our large group for dinner, and the house was comfortably warm throughout the whole stay. The hot tub was a nice bonus for us.

Three rooms downstairs have their own en-suite, but there is one large bathroom upstairs for the other 5 bedrooms. Generally it wasn’t a problem as others shared en-suites and there is also a separate toilet in the hallway, which was handy with young children!

Gap Retreat was the perfect stay for our large family. It was easy to get to from Belfast and Clare and Paul went above and beyond to make our holiday very enjoyable. They even allowed us to check in earlier than we first requested which was very much appreciated! The property itself is in beautiful grounds and the kitchen was great for cooking and socialising and this is where we all spent most of our time. We used the BBQ once and the hot tub most days. We had one take-away from Kamals Spice which was very good. The shop in Carrickmore was very well stocked and we used it quite a few times and also shopped at the supermarket in Omagh. The bedrooms down the stairs were ensuite and the bedrooms upstairs shared a large bathroom so there was plenty of showers for our large group. We had a few local trips to The Giant, Beaghmore Stone Circles, Loughmacrory and An Cregan which were all lovely. I can fully recommend Gap Retreat for any large group of family or friends!

Clare and Paul where very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Hot tub was a firm favourite. We even made use of the BBQ on our first night. Plenty of space outside. Clare and Paul where very flexible with our checkout time which made a big difference to our holiday. We will definitely be returning again!

The property was great, everything we needed was there, and the rooms were all great and comfortable. The hosts, Paul and Clare, were super helpful whenever we needed them. I would absolutely come back to this house.

This house is fantastic for big groups. There was great space indoors and outdoors, with enough seating for everyone. The hosts were really flexible and made us feel welcome when they arrived to show us around. There were plenty of facilities. As a group we cannot wait to come back!

We were a big group of friends and family and the house had everything we needed. The house was spacious with a large living space enabling us to spend a lot of quality time together. We spent hours in the hot tub - another highlight of the house. The review isn’t complete without mentioning the lovely hosts, Paul and Clare. They were always available to make our stay comfortable. One of the best hosts we came across.

Everything! This property was fabulous, the facilities had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. We stayed as a family of 16, we had so much space we never felt on top of each other, the communal space around the kitchen allowed everyone to be together comfortably and at the same time if you wanted some peace you could go off to living room without feeling totally isolated. The kitchen was well equipped and bathrooms well stocked with toilet roll. The immaculate hot tub was a welcome bonus! The hosts were approachable and easy to contact.

The space in the house was amazing, the host was exceptionally kind leaving prosecco and chocolate on arrival. Paul was very easy to chat with regarding takeaway, even offered to collect it and deliver it to us, will definitely be back.
