LONDONDERRYS Bar and Accommodation

Great location. We thought it was wonderful to have a mini fridge and kettle. The room was very clean .

The bed wasn’t comfortable.

It was near to the beach and places were within walking distance.

The accommodation is above an Indian restaurant which is accessed through the same front door as the accommodation, so the door is left open to anybody until 10pm when it is shut. Accommodation customers then use a key to get in. As it is open to anybody before 10pm we had someone walk in from the street who had apparently been on a robbery spree. He dumped some stuff on floor 2 and was trying doors to get in. The police were involved

Location was central for Seaham and ideal for us to visit Sunderland

Unfortunately we were without hot water for 1.5 days. It was sorted eventually - the main boiler was not working and as it was a bank holiday weekend it was difficult for the owner to get a gas engineer to come out. He was very apologetic and has promised us some money back for the inconvenience.

Seafront location.

Too many stairs. Broken floor tiles in front of shower. No where to put bottles in the shower. Shower hose leaking badly. Radiator full of dust.

Great location for the beach! The room itself was beautiful, comfy and clean.

There is a restaurant downstairs and whilst the food smelt gorgeous, after a while the smell of curry was just too intense. We were also warned by locals not to leave any property in our car which we parked in the advertised carpark behind -as we were in an anti social behavior exclusion zone.. we did come across a group of young boys in the carpark just sat sticking fingers up at people. Whilst this isn’t the property’s fault it was unnerving knowing the kind of area we were in.

Lovely bright airy room, great central location. Kids loved the sweets left in the room and the hot chocolates. Fridge is a great addition.

No hot water in the bath but this was made known by a sign in the bathroom. Netflix wasn't logged in so nothing to watch but we could have contacted the hosts if it was a major problem.
