The staff are 10/10 great people. Food was excellent.

The place is really run down, in real need of a renovation. The bathroom had a lot of mould. When we asked they did clean it.

Personale gentilissimo e disponibilissimo, bravi!! Bellissima esperienza. La posizione accanto alla funivia è forse lunga da raggiungere al primo arrivo. Attenzione che la cable car da Gora a Sounzan chiude alle 18, almeno in stagione non altissima. Se arrivate tirati c'è il rischio di dover prendere il taxi o un Uber. Però poi è comoda per andare nella vallata delle fumarole e al lago, richiedendo giusto due minuti a piedi alla funivia. Cena ottima. Per la colazione ..... noi europei non siamo abituati a certi gusti e quindi magari può essere impegnativa. Con l'onsen a disposizione non abbiamo dovuto cercare altro fuori dalla struttura.

Le porte chiudono alle 21 e quindi non permettono una passeggiata serale. E' anche vero che nei dintorni non c'è molto, quindi una passeggiata non porterebbe a ristoranti o negozi.

Struttura che ti trasporta in un altra realtà. Il servizio è stato incredibile, una cordialità ed una perfetta presenza di tutti gli operatori dal driver all'inserviente che spiega in maniera chiara e cordiale usi e pietanze. Onsen discreti, sicuramente esteticamente c'è ne possono essere di più belli ma dopo una giornata di trekking e visite è fantastico ammirare le montagne dalle terme. Cibo delizioso,camere bellissime, dotazione kimono il plus inatteso.

Non è adatto a chi ha problemi di deambulazione o bambini troppo piccoli: scale ripide!

泊まったら健康に悪くなりそうな旅館でした！残念な施設でした。 部屋に入った瞬間からカビのような臭いが気になり、よく見ると壁や洗面台周辺にはカビが目立つ状態でした。さらに部屋のあちこちにホコリが溜まっており、虫も何匹も出て、テレビも壊れてるし、清掃や設備管理が十分に行われているとは思えませんでした。 温泉旅館は清潔で快適な空間を期待して利用するものですが、今回は滞在中ずっと衛生面への不安を感じました。WEBサイトや予約サイトの写真から受ける印象とは大きく異なり、非常に残念でした。 宿泊客の大半は海外からのお客様のようでしたが、日本の旅館文化を楽しみに来られた方がこの状態を見たら、日本の宿泊施設全体に対して悪い印象を持ってしまうのではないかと感じます。 スタッフの方々は対応されていましたが、施設管理や清掃体制については根本的な見直しが必要だと思います。 少なくとも、壁や洗面台にカビが見える状態でお客様を迎えるべきではありません。衛生面を重視される方にはおすすめできません。私は再度利用したいとは思えませんでした。

This is a traditional ryokan and excellent value. It is located directly on the Hakone loop. You can join the loop clockwise or counter clockwise from Gora - the hotel is literally a two minute walk to the station that houses the ropeway (clockwise) and the cable car (train) (counter clockwise). The staff were very friendly. The food was good and very traditional.

The property is aging and needs renovations. The food was lovingly prepared and beautifully presented but not very high quality. A little sprucing up, better cleaning, and more expensive ingredients would help. Unfortunately, the price per night would also go up! We still had an excellent experience.
