The location is amazing. The staff are outstanding. The place is an old hotel that has seen its best days but has loads of charm. Tattooed body was allowed in the onsen that’s the main reason we booked it.

Some of the facilities like the private onsen in our room needs some serious attention or even renewal. The place isn’t cheap so a little better standard would be appreciated.

Close to the station of the cable car and the ropeway. The rooms are big. The food at dinner and breakfast are very good with a big variety, the staff tells you everything about this food and customs of it. The tea which you can have all day long is good. All the 5 different Onsen pools and bathes are good. The ones outside in the fresh air are the best. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. You are provided with Japanese clothing for the premise of the hotel.

到着時の挨拶におもてなしの気持ちがあった。 久々の部屋食でぜいたくな感じを受けた。 窓からの山の展望に解放感、爽快感があり、このエリアの最上階を選んで良かった。 白濁の温泉と露店風呂に癒された

部屋の内装の木材利用に手間暇がかかっているし清潔感があったが、目立たないけれど窓下などの壁紙剥がれが残り、保守点検の改善を望みたい。 トイレユニットが狭いので扉を開けたままで使用した。洗面台がトイレと別の方が使いやすいと思った。 周辺の情報についてフロントマンに尋ねたが精通していない印象を受けた（大涌谷の行き方は地図で教えていただいたがゲート解放時刻を聞いてなかったため、開き待ちになった。見える山々の情報についてあいまいだった）
