Garden House Miraflores

It's a great experience staying in Alvaro's house, in fact it's a family property, the vibe of "parents' house" made me feel comfortable and calm. Alvaro himself is a super nice host, always trying to help. Room is not big but cozy, internet is great for working, shared space is big tidy and well-organized, kitchen and dinning space are also accesible. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, surrounded by a lot of small parks. Bus station is just 2 mins' walk away.

Stayed here on two separate occasions, both were great. The room is spacious and very pretty, the house generally has a very cozy, family vibe. Alvaro is a great, helpful host and speaks very good English. The location is excellent, a 25 minute walk from the beach, and close to many other spots in Miraflores -- I mainly just walked everywhere. A metro station is also nearby, and there is a bikeshare station literally 50 m from the house.

The internet was a bit spotty.

Long walk (40mins )from Miraflores/Baranco This is a room in a family home Front door difficult to unlock took me 15 mins (but they are getting it fixed)

The host, Alvaro, was super friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was also a blackout blind and very little noise (until the 5am birdsong). The other occupants were also quiet and respectful. In the area were plenty of good eateries (we recommend Katsuya for actual Japanese/Peruvean fusion). Also, depending on who you are, the rest of Miraflores, Barranco, and the coast were all within walking distance.

The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. You have a shared kitchen with filtered water which is really great! supermarkets and ATMs close by. In addition Alvaro knows a lot about Lima and can give you apart from his blog a lot of recommendations.
