The Wanderer Guesthouse

Loved the location. Private bedroom but shared the main living, dining, Kitchen with other guests. Met a lovely family from Germany and shared breakfast time with them. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in between Blowing Rock and Boone, NC. Made for a memorable stay.

Beautiful design of modern minimalism with soft colors that flow with nature, solid amount of shared spaces to choose from, easy to find, comfy bed, timer lights on lamps throughout shared areas of the house, lots of books to choose from, to read while there, if you desire

Dishwasher is broken yet none of guests were notified, arrived to dirty dishes in the sink, no sound proofing so can hear all guests even when they are in their bedrooms, rose and sage bedrooms across from each other and right by entrance so car lights in windows when parking (black out curtains would help) and noise from each other's rooms and entrance, constant beeping in house from key codes being inputted (would be helpful if could silence these), no camaraderie from guests (they just stayed in it like a hotel), the food pic is a snack bar you may pay to purchase items (good to clarify that) but it didn't have the one item in the pic (or that I had emailed Booking com) that I wanted, breakfast choices were very minimal compared to what was said would be offered (maybe easier and better not to offer breakfast), furnace was squeaking

The room size was good. The host was responsive.

The facility promoted breakfast items and there was only packaged oatmeal. The water pressure was very low in the shower and the shower was very dated. The walls were very thin and the front door is really loud so if you're in the first 2 rooms, it's very inconvenient.

Check-in and check-out process was very easy

Everything was great the only thing I would add is a night light in the bathroom to see how to get to the bathroom at night.

Clean, well decorated

Room is in a house so living areas are communal

Unfortunately, no breakfast items were in the main kitchen. No worries, we did our own shopping.
