Ganga Homestay Sigiriya

The hosts of the place went over and above for us to be comfortable. It is not the most fanciest place, but it is a decent room, kept clean. Aunty made the best huge srilankan breakfast for us and made us dinner basis our ask, which was amazing too! Special mention to their garden, and the fresh juice we got from the fruits they grew in the garden.

The host and his family are extremely welcoming. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and breakfast tasty and abundant. A lovely garden with a huge variety of fruits and vegetables. Prianthe has his own tuktuk and can arrange full day trips or just transportation to all nearby sights. Very convenient. Overall a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

Superbe accueil, personnes adorables et serviables.

We stayed two nights with Ganga and her husband, and we loved our stay! They were very kind and helpful. Even organising the local barber (their neighbour) to cut our hair - he did a great job. They helped us with organising our visits to the local sites and restaurants and even gave us a lift in their tuktuk. They offer home cooked Lankan breakfast and dinner, which were really tasty. They also did our laundry which came back smelling of jasmine. I fully recommend letting them organise an Elephant safari to the eco park nearby - it was amazing! The room was also very comfy, clean and furnished. With aircon, ceiling fan and nets. Hot water on demand in a big bathroom.

Der Betreiber und die Familien haben uns aufgenommen, als wären wir Teil der Familie. Die Frau hat immer für uns gekocht und uns wenn wir zuhause waren immer Tee und Kaffee gebracht. Ab und zu haben wir auch ungefragt limonensaft oder andere Köstlichkeiten bekommen. Alles in allem war es fabelhaft !

Un accueil exceptionnel de toute la famille, les petits déjeuner et diners très copieux et variés, très bon, on s'est régalé. Nous avons pu faire les apprentis cuisiniers un soir, trop sympa :) même si je ne suis pas sûre qu'on soit capable de refaire ;). D'excellents conseils sans jamais rien imposer, présents sans être intrusif, le tuk tuk sur place, le calme... bref on a tout aimé :)

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön, mit einem tollen Grundstück drum herum. Die Familie ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Ich habe mit dem Gastgeber 2 Touren zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten gemacht und einen Abend mit der Familie gekocht. Ich habe jeden Tag dort gefrühstückt und zu Abend gegessen weil das Essen total lecker ist.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Newly refurbished room with great working air con, comfortable big bed and nice new bathroom with plenty of space. Short walk into town. The family who runs this home stay is the absolute highlight - from exceptional cooking (dinner and breakfast were some of the best we have had), to arranging tuk tuk rides, organising us a safari and being shown around their beautiful garden; their hospitality was nothing we have experienced before. Highly recommend this home stay to anyone coming.

I came for one night but ended up staying three. The family is adorable, helpful, and very warm. The breakfast is generous and really delicious—yum! The place is quiet, the room has air conditioning, and the bathroom is spacious and very clean. Everything was perfect. Thank you 🙏
