Lapwing Cottage Docking

This was our second stay at Lapwing Cottage this year and once again it did't disappoint. Another wonderful stay in a fabulous cottage. I can't really add more to my previous positive review other than to say the cottage offers far more in terms of facilities and value than the more expensive properties only a short drive away nearer the coast. As I wrote before - book it, you won't be disappointed!

Lovely cottage in a central location in a very attractive village. The accommodation was comfortable, modern, clean, spacious and well equipped; all communications from the owners were clear and timely. It was perfect for a dog because the cottage is fully enclosed and the village has very attractive walks, perfect for off-lead. Also, the parking area in front of the cottage is great. Only four miles to Brancaster beach which is beautiful. We also visited Hunstanton and Holkham which are lovely too. Lots of local wildlife and good cafes and pubs in the area. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

Maybe for a longer stay we would have appreciated a few more kitchen items e.g. small basins, a good vegetable peeler, a steamer, modern weighing scales, but certainly not a major concern.

Beautiful little house, well appointed, excellent location. Secure garden for the dogs.

Quite hot at times, even with the heating off. I guess it is very well insulated! I'm a big guy, more proverbial outhouse than Mr Blobby, but I very nearly couldn't get in the shower. The door was very narrow.

We stayed at Lapwing Cottage in early January of this year and weren’t disappointed. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well furnished throughout. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to self cater. The amount of cutlery and crockery available means that you can make use of the dishwasher if you wanted to without constantly washing up. A washing machine was an added bonus if you had the need for it. The cottage was lovely and cosy with underfloor heating downstairs and a remote controlled electric coal effect fire in the living room. The enclosed rear garden is great for dog owners if you want to give your dog some time outside. The ability to park up to two cars directly outside the cottage was ideal. Without doubt this is the best cottage we’ve stayed in over the last couple of years for the price and represents outstanding value for money. Lapwing Cottage is a real home from home, in fact if this was my home I’d be more than happy. Book it, you won’t be disappointed!

Lapwing Cottage is a lovely property. The photos don't do it justice. The cottage is in excellent condition, with everything we needed for our short stay over the Christmas period. We had excellent communication with the hosts prior to our stay who provided useful information and helped with check-in. As we stayed during the Christmas period we were not sure how warm the property would be, but the cottage was so cosy and the underfloor heating was a pleasant surprise!
