The Centenary Residence

We arrived at the apartment at the time indicated on booking, located the key box but on opening no key to the apartment there. Called the service line twice, straight to voicemail and no response. Ended up having to check into another hotel. Contacted booking.com and no explanation has been provided since.

Location is good, close to the city centre. Heating is good. The duvet is nice warm.

There was no wifi available, although it was included in the price. The host did not reply to my e-mails, phone calls, or contact via booking.com site. The key was not in the box as described. The description of finding the apartment in the building is complicated. The building is under heavy reconstruction - the apartment can be reached via long, dirty hallways. I am not sure the bedlinen was clean. Although the kitchen is fully equipped for a family of 4 Sunday lunch: stove, oven, fridge, washing machine..., there is no kettle, pan, sharp knife, cutting board, etc., to be able to use the kitchen. No mirror in the bathroom. Water does not run down the miniature bathroom sink. There were traces of paint on the walls, and the walls were not freshly painted...

got sent the codes into this apartment, went to the lockbox, had no key in they told us to contact this number, the number was busy, they couldn’t help they then told me to contact booking.com. it was half 9 at night still having no accommodation. we lost the money that we can’t get back, do not recommend.

Great access to leeds highstreet and amazing service from the last minute cleaners who came at 10pm.

After crossing 3 rats and heaps of rubbish i got to the entrance of the building. You see paint splattered all across the halls, condom wrappers and other rubbish everywhere not to mention the smart whip on the reception desk. The room it’s self has so much potential but with the lack of ownership left it completely unhygienic. The bed was still a mess from previous people including snapped bed panels, dirty towels on the floor, yellow water in the sink & unwashed plates. This wouldn’t of been as big of an issue if the owner had manners, he was completely unapologetic by his mistakes and then told us the only time the cleaner could arrive was 8:30pm/9pm. Putting all my plans on hold as they didn’t even arrive by 10pm. They also advertise with wifi, the building has no wifi or any signal for your calls. DO NOT RECOMMEND AS SPEAKING TO OTHER GUESTS THEY HAD ISSUES WITH DOUBLE BOOKING AND HYGIEN

The location for the Theatre where we were going for my 40th birthday and my partners 35th birthday

The apartment smelt that bad of cannabis that it was making me feel ill. We packed up and left just after midnight as we couldn't settle due to the smell. I didn't like the fact that the owners by passed my message regarding the smell of weed to send there automatic message I guess and then I have sent numerous messages after and not had any reply at all. I am definitely taking this further.

Nothing. Didn't even get into the room. No keys in the lockbox and my phone calls were ignored.

I didn't enjoy spending £65 on a room I couldn't even enter. I did not enjoy being scammed and ignored.

Nothing. It was so unclean

No clean towels, mucky and stained bedding. The washing machine was still on from before when me and my partner arrived. The host didn’t seem bothered and didn’t bring no clean towels so we couldn’t have a shower here.

Had been cleaned.

No key in key safe. Owners unreachable . Found key by pure chance as was looking for a socket to charge my phone to book another hotel . No hot water in shower . All heaters left on max so temp was unbearable with windows that don't open . Directions to room were incorrect .

Leaving

It’s was an absolute shit show, the bed was broken woke up in loads of back pain, there was dirty laundry in the washing machine, the whole apartment block was filthy, stains everywhere, windows sealed shut, was SO confusing to find the room/keys, took us 45 mins to actually find the room after arriving and the host wouldn’t answer the phone. Do not stay here if you want a nice peaceful comfortable night
