Inner Dowsing Lightship

The location of inner dowsing was perfect . Walking distance to the main Rochester high street. The bed in the cabin was super comfortable. We felt lucky to have back cabin that over looks the river , we enjoyed sitting out there looking out especially during sunset / sunrise .

Please be aware there are small steps/ladder style that goes up to the top deck to the cabins . If you have large bags, trouble with mobility or like a glass of wine or two , I would imagine this being a bit tricky for you. We found the tv dropped out of the WiFi and some of the tv apps have not been logged into . Only a suggestion - there was no little letter / note that introduced you to inner dowsing. Perhaps a little note in the cabin to remind you of your check out time, what to do with the key, WiFi password or who to contact if there’s a problem. Overall, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like about inner dowsing. It’s a very quirky boat with lovely touches.

Such a lovely quirky place to stay. Warm, comfortable with really helpful hosts.

Better information how to access the boat when the main gate is closed and how to leave the property and security gate, e.g. that device on the key was a fob to exit the main security gate and where to drop off keys very early in the evening.

Could hear children running about in the adjoining room.

The view was wonderful.

It would have been better if breakfast had been available on site.

Clean, cosy and in a great location. The host was lovely welcoming us on board. Was interesting to learn the history of the boat as well. Will 100% recommend and very reasonably priced
