Second visit to stay, in the same room, much more spacious now bunk beds have been removed. Great hosts. Lovely views from the boat

Not notified that breakfast was no longer in until after booking and should maybe have been reflected in price as was the same as we paid first time with it included. We did however visit Beantown as recommended which was amazing and well worth a visit

"A fabulous overnight stay, would recommend highly."

10.0

Beautifully restored boat, helpful hosts, great views, peaceful location; the self-catering unit was exceptionally clean, spacious, comfortable, well equipped and spacious which all contributed to a very lovely overnight stay. If you’re visiting Rochester, do consider staying here rather than a hotel. The Lightship is utterly unique. We were fortunate to be there during warm weather and it was lovely sitting on the deck watching the boats and the lights shining on the water, a truly memorable experience.

There is a walk from the carpark to the boat- when we arrived we did not initially realise that trolleys are available for luggage (they use a coin like supermarket ones). Knowing this, made our departure easier as we could just pile everything into a trolley & wheel to the carpark.

"A unique, unconventional and most enjoyable place for a relaxing stay."

Beautifully converted spacious accommodation in a quiet location. Our main purpose for visiting Medway was to go to Chatham Historic Dockyard, so finding a historic ship to stay on was perfect.

"Can't wait to return"

9.0

Everything was perfect, the room was very nicely and thoughtfully designed with everything you might need. Spacious and very clean bathroom, with great water pressure. The host met us upon arrival, with a warm greeting and showed us to our room. The area is very peaceful and the boat is very charming and well looked after. Everything was clean and comfortable. The room had two fans which were useful. Book with confidence and enjoy the beautiful breeze of the marina. There is a pub down the road, 10 minute walk, a co-op and a couple of small corner shops. For dinner we just jumped on a bus to the local town. The bus stop was near by and the local town and high street had many food options. It was nice to have a walk over the bridge and see the castle and the cathedral.

It’s our second visit here and we absolutely love it . The owners should be very proud of how they have decided the place it’s gorgeous so much to look at chic and quirky . The deck is perfect to sit and relaxe and look at the water we played charades and laughed all afternoon . Beds was so comfortable too 5star . Can’t wait to stay again

"The Inner Dowsing Lightship was a delightful surprise, clean comfortable and unique and perfect for our needs."

10.0

It was a superb location with exceptional views over The Medway. The accommodation was well designed so we had a lovely view from our deck outside our cabin and we’re completely unaffected of the nearby M2 viaduct. We stayed on the hottest day of the year and we’re still able to sleep comfortably and to keep the room cool.

The lovely french window curtains could do with a bit more black out lining.
