Discovery Island Resort

It is very remote. The only access to town is to take a boat. Sometimes you have to wait a while for a boat. It is very quiet there. Nice little pool

Limited food selection. 10% service charge added to all meals (or services too?). No swim beach

Personnel aux petits soins, vraiment sympathique et prêt à vous aider (la propriétaire m’a même proposé de de trouver un timbre et poster ma carte postale à ma place). Restaurant très bon. Endroit idyllique

La plage n’était pas baignable (méduses) ce qui n’est pas indiqué sur le descriptif de booking et il manque quelques transats autour de la piscine

De lo peor de filipinas y llevo un mes viajando aquí

- abgelegen und angenehm ruhig auf einer kleinen Halbinsel direkt bei Coron City. Man kommt nur mit dem Boot oder bei Ebbe zu Fuß hin. Einmal am Tag ist das Shuttle zur Stadt und zurück gratis. Funktioniert völlig problemlos. - die Anlage ist zwar in die Jahre gekommen, aber super schön und das Personal ist sehr nett. - Kooperation mit der Tauchschule Coron Easy Diving (absolut zu empfehen) - Essen war lecker - die Masseurin (ältere Dame aus der Stadt) war der Wahnsinn.

- das Bett war sehr hart, aber wir bekamen von der Unterkunft einen Topper - leider darf man an der Unterkunft, obwohl diese direkt am Wasser liegt, nicht ins Meer. Hintergrund sind Quallen, ob das saisonal bedingt ist wissen wir nicht. - Die Auswahl für das Frühstück ist überschaubar. Vor allem, wenn man wie wir eine Woche bleibt

The position and views was lovely The food was excellent and cooked fresh to order The staff were friendly and welcoming The pool was wonderful and the area around it well kept with beautiful plants and flowers I felt the boat system worked well

We booked island hopping through the hotel. We had a lovely day out but the lady we booked it through said the price (which turned out to be quite a bit more than we could have paid) included everything but it didn’t - we had to pay a further 1200 pesos for a canoe We also asked how many people would be on the trip - we were told 10-15 max - there were 22 This was disappointing Fine for us but we aware if you have mobility issues

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and made us feel truly taken care of throughout our entire visit. The facility manager was amazing as well—her conversations and helpful tips made our experience even more special. I also want to mention the lady at the reception (I unfortunately can’t remember her name) who gave us fantastic recommendations for tours. Her suggestions really helped us decide what to do and made our trip even more enjoyable. And the food was outstanding. We tried almost everything on the menu, and every dish was absolutely delicious. Overall, we all loved our stay and created wonderful memories here. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Philippines—it truly exceeded our expectations. ⭐️

We had a lovely time here during pur visit to Coron. Being away from the rush and noise of the city, you can relax and admire the beautiful view. People are very nice and welcoming, trying to help as much as they can. Breakfast is not included, but they have a la carte option in their restaurant. ( amazing banana pancakes by the way). They also provide the trip to and from Coron, it’s a 10’ ride. Overall we had an amazing time there.

Not necessarily an issue, they have some issues with water pressure, being a separate island, but they found a way to fix it.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was quiet and spacious and the location was very serene. We enjoyed the free kayaks as well. The food in the restaurant was very good.

The place is isolated so food and lanudry were over priced. There's no drinking water provided, they add 10% charge on everything, even if you just buy a bottle of water from the bar. The only access to the hotel is via the boat, which is quite limiting, e.g. it's not ideal to take when it's raining, and you need some planning if you need to be on time for a tour. It can also get pricey if you take the boat more than once to the town or if you stay in town after 9PM. There's only wifi in the shared areas. The room design was outdated, the water pressure in the shower is very low and I was constantly worried we might run out of hot water since water heating is only based on the sun.
