George Street Apartment

Convenient for local supermarket and Salisbury centre. Place small but had everything we needed. Layout could have been improved, i.e. seating and where the double bed was. On the whole great. Big thank you Alice for the help on the first day.

Parking, not so good, very narrow lanes to get to the house and the parking though private was off an access road to the sides of the houses and well used.

Had all necessary appliances

I ended up leaving early. The shower is borderline unusable, the head spurts water out in all directions and it's impossible to stand under it without getting waterboarded - since I visited during the heatwave, after the second day I honestly just got sick of not being able to shower, so I left. The wifi was awful, which made the TV unusable, I couldn't even stream a YT video on my laptop, let alone take calls and meetings for work. When I used the oven there was an overwhelming smell of warmed plastic or chemicals, which was unpleasant but it didn't affect the food cooked in it. Lock on front door is also sticky.

Glitzy curtains were ok but the decor/paintwork was very shabby in contrast. Chips of paint on skirting boards. Bedroom & living room in need of repainting, grubby marks on walls. Emails received prior to our arrival were very unfriendly in places, stating 'Please come & go quietly! & antisocial behaviour is not tolerated & we will be asked to leave', We do not allow illegal activities. You will be asked to leave with NO REFUND', Which we found insulting & hostile. We booked the apartment because we wanted a 2 bed arrangement. We were aware iit had a double bed & sofa bed. Linen provided is stated on the details. The email states 'Towels, bedding & shower gel are all provided'. The shower gel dispenser was empty. We did not receive a welcome pack as promised on an email. We could not find bedding when we went to set-up the sofa bed at bedtime, so sent a message to management . We received a reply a while later saying that they no longer provide linen for it & asked where we had seen it on the ad. We were given a code for a locked cupboard where linen is stored & told there might be a duvet in the wardrobe. The duvet was stained & the code for the lock did not work. We phoned the contact no given but it was unobtainable & it was too late to continue messaging & wait for a reply, So the sofa bed was used without bedding, except for a stained duvet without a cover. The following morning we messaged to say that the code did not work. They apologised saying that they had given the wrong code & then gave us the correct code. We opened it & found bedding for the 2nd night. If linen is not provided for the sofa bed, we would expect it to be stated on the details. It was an overall disappointing stay.
