The apartment is in a traditional stone tenement block in a very attractive crescent near the Meadows and the Old Town. The location and architecture are perfect. The apartment itself is spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. The large bedrooms look on to quiet gardens at the back. The sitting room is also large and very light, with a nice bay window to the front. The staff at the management agency are polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend the apartment.

The front door to the building is shabby and the lock is awkward to use. The furniture in the living room is quite worn, although solid and comfortable. I think the apartment is pricey - but that’s Edinburgh! I was disappointed to be asked to pay an additional £200 deposit a week before arrival, although this was handled efficiently and returned promptly.

Beautiful neighborhood, high quality kitchen and bathrooms, stunning 19th century views and beds with mattresses that supported a bad back. The building had just been sold to a new owner and for the half month I was there, I wished I were the new owner. I would not have left. I went there to live as if I were a full time Edinburgh resident and it was everything I had expected.

The locks should be replaced and while the stairs were difficult at first, even a mature woman like myself could navigate them. There was only a foldable tack dryer, not “dryer” as advertised, and I would recommend making sure everything listed is evident or on hand quickly as we had to hunt for the hair dryer and a few other items. After 14 hours of transit it was a bit much. I would also recommend a quick sheet of instructions inside the flat for those of us who are not from the UK or Eurozone re using the appliances. Thank goodness for Tony the PM who got us through the early days.

Large rooms, comfy beds, well appointed kitchen, great location.

It’s on the third floor and there’s no lift, and double beds are a bit of a squeeze.

Very pleasant neighbourhood. Agent was flexible about arrival time, which we appreciated. Beds comfortable.

A taxi was required to get to our location from Princes Street as it would have been too far to walk with our suitcases. Whilst the accommodation was about a 20-25 minute walk into the main area, there was no information available as to the best way to get there. There was NO useful information about the accommodation nor area, nor welcome pack, not even a few capsules of milk. It is managed by an agent who was not on top of maintenance. One of the bathrooms required us to do our own maintenance due to poor water flow and very hot/very cold water. One shower head holder came out of its wall mountings. The radiator in the bathroom was not properly attached to the wall. We were told the plumber was unwell and wouldn't be able to fix it whilst we were there (4 nights). One morning there was no hot water. I was told it was easily remedied, and to lay on the floor and look under the unit. When I pointed out my age, I was met with laughter. (He did come out later that day). The front door and 3 flights of stairs are a complete disgrace, it may not be within their gift to sort it out, but not acceptable. No access to the garden. The photos of the accommodation gave a more positive view, especially the lounge.
