Rondebosch Eco Cottages

Close enough to town, but feels like you are out in the country... Lovely pub although closed when I was here and its on a river which is always a bonus. When i needed a lighter for the gas stove, the owner Leon made sure I got one promptly. Love the zebras which roam free around the units..

Maybe they can get better pillows, but i still slept well. The cleaning/welcoming staff need a bit of grooming in welcoming guests when Leon or his daughters aren't around...

The cottages has all you need and the beds was very comfortable. The cottage is modern and very pretty inside. The host was also very friendly.

Security - As a solo traveler it was a bit scary at night and I had allot of anxiety. Very dark, no lights around the cottage and I did feel unsafe. Look the place is very nice and you have all you need it's just that if they can install some lights that stays on around the area and amp up the security so that you can feel safe then this will be a place I go to everytime. I was relieved that the cottage next to me was also occupied but the guests only arrived around 9pm.

Good location and helpful staff.

Blood in the freezer, shower head spraying water literally all over. No basics like clothing iron, coffee, tea, sugar etc. Left over cut open drink can full of cigarettes. Horrible staining on the bedding. Blinds broken so privacy not great.

Dangerous and violent host threatened to beat me up and leave me next to the side of the road after the 4th request for a key to lock the chalet at 10:00 PM (first request at 4 PM). Dangerous location with no security. NO KEY provided. Can't leave windows open as no burglar bars DSTV not working only channel 100 (host uninterested in trying to rectify) No Wifi No coffee or tea, no shampoo only bar of soap No cupboard space to hang clothes No bed side lights

The cottage was nicely decorated and clean. Very conveniently located from the function venue.

We found the beds in poor condition and we would have liked a bedside table on both sides of the double be. The shower was not great with water spaying all over.
