Sigiriya Moonlight Home

We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed more. Bedroom was massive with great AC and comfy beds. Would highly recommend.

This stay is truly superb, and I say this on my fourth visit to Sri Lanka, each tome for over three weeks, and second to Sigiriya. Lovely hosts and family, shy cat and dogs. We got on really well. Location is absolutely tops. Close (40m) to 2nd rated TripAdvisor restaurant in Sigiriya and to entrance for foreignors to Lion Rock, as well as many other optios amd a grocery. The gorgeous garden is a true pleasure - enjoy from the tastefully decorated wide verandah which you don't really share with any other guests! Cleanliness cannot be faulted. Great spacious room and beatifully fitted with sockets everywhere. Excellent AC. Quality linen and towels, a rarity. Shower is hot and good water pressure. Bathroom spacious spotless and a pleasure. WiFi is fine. We were greeted with tea or coffee when we arrived much earlier than check in time. Breakfast was delicious, and dinner an option. Our hosts helped with a competitive quote for next transfer and could not be more helpful in anything we asked about. I am already recommending this place to other travellers.

Very nice place with lovely hosts

This place was incredible. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and comfortable. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous and due to the heavy rain when we visited we spent a lot of time drinking tea and sitting on the covered porch. The hosts were very attentive and available but not over bearing. They gave us tuk tuk rides at a good price to pidurangala rock and Sigiriya rock. The room was spotless and so comfortable. We’ve been in Sri Lanka now for 2 weeks and this was our favourite accommodation.

I think there was a spray used on the linens which was a bit too strong of a scent for us, but this could easily be improved and didn’t hinder our stay.

The Lady Owner is a great and very friendly. She makes sure that guests are very well treated and happy. She cook fantastic Sri Lankan cuisine with love. She has a nice smile every time she meets with the guests. Simple be there and feel home.

Amazing host, kind and a lovely family. Air-con room was spacious, very clean, and with comfy beds. Good size bathroom with hot shower. A well designed room with plugs strategically placed for convenience. Breakfast was really good, kids loved the coconut roll. Garden around the home is really beautiful. Convenient location, just a couple of minutes walk out to the Main Street with restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend booking at Sigiriya Moonlight Home. We would book again.

Great room, great A/C. Host was brilliant and able to organise us a safari. Breakfast was superb.

The best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Super nice host, very big, comfortable and very clean room. Perfect location and amazing breakfasts. We couldn't demand more. So, I highly recommend this place!
