Sapa Riverside Homestay

Lovely, friendly staff who went above and beyond,they kindly helped my husband when he was unwell and even arranged medicine for him, which we really appreciated. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. We asked for more pillows and towels and the lovely lady drove to the Homestay specifically for us to deliver them so kind. The nearby villages are to be discovered there were so many lovely cafes and restaurant.

However, there was so much noise (it goes on overnight and early morning no stop basically) due to building site right next to it which the lady apologies for but nothing they can do outside their control. Also some cleanliness issues, including stained bed sheets and occasional ants in the room and on the bed, as well as one cockroach. While the setting among rice fields is beautiful, a bit more attention to housekeeping would make the stay much more enjoyable.

Staf was very nice, friendly and helpful.

I think the breakfast was a little to simple and the coffee was never hot.

La localisation dans la vallée, au bord de la rivière et des rizières. Le lieu est apaisant est proche de Sapa. Il y a de belles randonnées à y faire.

The property offers beautiful surroundings next to the river. You can easily do your own trekking tour down the river through the villages. There are a lot of options for food & coffee too. The property is very clean and the cocktails are nice too!

Staff were nice, helpful and smiley. Breakfast was good, but somewhat inconsistent. Good location if you are here for trekking.

We stayed in the older section, which has no lighting along the path at night. One evening at 21:50, all lights, including the restaurant, were already off, and we were barked at by the property’s dogs when going to collect food delivery. There was also ongoing construction, which isn’t properties fault, but guests should be warned in advance when making the booking. Around the property, there were many random items left out, such as pool cleaning equipment, the pool itself was dirty most days, and several chairs were broken and clearly needed replacing. Overall, the place has seen better days, and the photos appear to have been taken when it first opened.
