A beautiful cottage in the perfect location for our walk. Great communication from the host. It was lovely to find juice and bread in the fridge. Really friendly locals in the pub. The perfect stay!

"Very good stay."

7.0

I had only a one-night stay in this oovely cottage, excellent facilities. Very well-equipped kitchen. Bath was definitely a bonus! Luke was a helpful host, though I never actually met him (or anyone else associated with the property).

No coat hangers, and very few hooks to hang anything on! Bathroom on different floor from bedroom.

"A lovely cottage with space for a solo traveller and few days away in north wales. Good use of space with the kitchen do"

7.0

Was clean and plenty of space for a solo traveller. There was plenty of crockery and bits in the kitchen and lovely touch of a loaf of bread, milk and bottle of juice ok the fridge.

It might have been nice to have a small welcoming note on arrival, but honestly the cottage was lovely and nothing really to be disappointed with.

"Homely and comfortable stay"

8.0

The location was ideal for visiting family in the local area and the private parking a definite plus, given the road outside was suprisingly busy. The cottage has a lot of charm and character, although the tight steep staircases and the low ceilings in a couple of places might be difficult for those who are tall or have restricted mobility. The overall feeling was very comfortable and the property defintly has a 'lived in' feel, which is nice when you're staying for more than a few days. The broadband speed was excellent and I appreciated having a TV in both the living room and bedroom, along with the provided Firestick. The sofa and chair were both very comfortable, although there was a lack in cushions for additional comfort. Everything was clean and the bathroom and kitchen had modern fixtures and fittings which were to a high standard. The provision of a washing machine and drying rack was especially useful, although it's a shame there was no dishwasher. The rear courtyard was private and captured the sun most of the day, providing a peaceful space to relax with a book. The property owner was quick to respond and really appreciate that the rates charges were fair and reasonable. So many property owners over charge for homestays, especially during the summer season. I hope the rates remain competative, as I'd stay again if they did.

So, before I go through the negatives I should say that none of these would stop me from staying here again, they are simply things the property owner could do to improve the overall experiance for future guests: - The bedroom had a damp/musty smell, I was unable to locate where this was coming from. Thankfully the weather was nice enough to keep the window open, but it's certainly worth investigating - The mattress in the master bedroom is simply awful; if there is one thing that needs investment it's a good quality mattress. It's the kind of budget mattress where you can hear the springs moving around underneath you and offers very little comfort and support for side sleepers - The bedroom TV had no remote control - There was no iron and ironing board which seems a strange ommision (the property owner did offer to bring one, but it wasn't urgent) - There was nowhere to hang clothes, a wardrobe or hanging rail at least would be useful - There's a large space adjoining the kitchen with a sofa that faces a cupboard - this seems like a wasted space. Why not have a dining table here? - Although I didn't need to make use of it on this occasion, the rear bedroom could do with some love and attention
