Blaneys Coastal Cottage

Very remote and peaceful setting. A traditional home which was comfortable for our stay. Perfect if you want to get away from everything.

There was an issue with the WiFi dropping out but we were warned about this before our arrival.

The location was beautiful with a view of the sea in a very peaceful area. The beds were comfortable & the decoration was simple but tasteful.

The property should not be described as having internet. Most of the time there was no phone service at all & the wifi though fully connected did not allow any connection. The owner noted on a welcome sheet that this was frustrating & due to the local area, but we would not have booked the property if we had known that there was no internet availability at all. We were visiting Donegal to celebrate my Mum's 87th birthday & it was impossible for friends & family to reach her via phone or WhatsApp to wish her a happy birthday!!!! Going down the road in the pouring rain to get phone reception was NOT a solution. I see now that numerous reviews comments on this so the property description should simply be corrected. There were also no dishes to use in the oven, no bowls for cereal, no working potato peeler, no instructions to make the TV work & while there was a selection of DVDs there seemed to be no DVD player. The shower was difficult to use as it was operated by a twisting switch that was old & hard to use & very difficult to regulate. There was also no where to put stuff in the shower...

Good location, ample parking, clean, and the heating/hot water was easy to use.

The WiFi didn’t work, as the provided password is incorrect. There was not a lighter or box of matches provided for the open fire.

Location was great, and having the washer and dryer was so helpful for us.

The wifi did not work for us. The listing is very accurate when saying it’s not strong.

The location was good for us, especially with our dog. The house was exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable.

The Wifi. It was too weak, and our children, who were 15 and 20 years old, were not very happy about that. If we have known about it before hand, we probably would not have chosen this place, even though the other things were great.
