Blaneys Coastal Cottage

I liked the apartment, it is very nice and cozy, it faces the sea and the landscape is beautiful, you are in the middle of the countryside. The apartment was cleaned and had all we needed.

The apartment was cold and we didn't have heating, we had to heat the house with the fireplace and a small heater that was in the room. The hot water works with a boiler that you have to heat beforehand and that only works for 15 minutes. After that, you have to heat the water again.

Location was fab! Class view of the beach. Place was nice and clean.

Good getaway on the outskirts on Donegal! Cozy cottage, the fire was on at arrival, dog friendly and close to the beach. All the appliances needed for our stay.

The internet connection was not working due to bad signal in the area (nothing the owner can do about it and not necessarily a negative if you want to disconnect, but something to keep in mind if needed during your stay).

Beautiful, quiet, private and cosy. It truly felt like a wee secret getaway. Susan had the fire lit for us arriving which was such a delightful surprise. The whole cottage was spotless, and the bedding was so fresh and lovely. Would love to come again in the summer months. The kitchen facilities were amazing. The wee beach is only a short walk down the lane, and it was just amazing at sunset. Thank you so much!

It’s not that we didn’t like it, but the lack of signal and WiFi is just something to note before arrival. It can’t be helped, given the rural location of the cottage, which is completely understandable. We just made sure to know our bearings before heading off in the car, and then it wasn’t long until we reached signal again for maps. It would not put us off staying again, we loved it too much!

Host was very accommodating, and helpful, attempted to get us some WiFi signal by giving us another modem

Very difficult to heat the house, fire lit from morning to night and still cold. WiFi and mobile phone service is nonexistent. Couldn’t let dog out loose as no fenced off area at property as well as the speed of vehicles on this narrow road/lane was ridiculous at times
