Grateful Dreams Lodging

The breakfast was 10 out of 10, my hostess found a way to make her pancake recipe vegan. It was my birthday and she was considerate enough to light me a candle and put in in my breakfast pancakes. Not only that, but my other host sang me happy birthday. They were so incredibly sweet and generous. They kept me company while I ate and it was incredible to learn more about how they run the lodge.

I wasn't allowed to help clean up breakfast or help with any other chores. I would have liked to do my part in keeping their beautiful house clean, however.... in reality, this is just another positive point to the hosts. I couldn't think of anything truly negative to say. I absolutely loved my time here.

Our hosts were very communicative a few hours before check-in just to make sure we were doing well and on the way and how they could facilitate our stay in the most optimal way including what our dietary restrictions were for the yummy breakfast they made :)

It's always hard to know what you're getting into when you book accommodations online-if you're looking for a lot of privacy and would rather not associate with anyone, this place is unique and special in that this element is part of the experience that makes it so fun, and the decor pictured online weeds out those that may not resonate, but we sure did!

Becky and Dave are amazing hosts, we were offered chocolate on arrival and the property they call home is so thoughtfully laid out, from the room with the ocean sound machine, to the delicious breakfasts cooked by Dave, these two went above and beyond, even accomodating our gluten free request with special food. Their recommendations of activities to do in the area were amazing and I know we have made some friends for life with these two free spirits. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for a home style accomodation in northern California or anyone wanting to explore the stunning Redwoods! Thank you Dave and Becky and we will see you in New Zealand!

Grateful Dreams is a stand-out business from owners who are clearly passionate about giving you the best stay that they can. The aesthetic gives it an unforgettable personality. Breakfast will rock your world.

Dave makes a killer breakfast and the coffee was fresh and ready as soon as I got up. The location is very walkable to downtown Arcata as well, and Cal-Poly is also very close.

The hosts Dave & Becky created a unique experience, it felt like visiting a close friend, even if we never met them before. There were so many things to discover in the house and the design is fantastic. Dave cooked a great breakfast.

This is a fun and unique place to stay. The property was exceptionally clean and in a great location. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast. I would definitely stay here again!

Grateful Dreams was perfect for me. I enjoy staying at places with communal areas. It might not be the best choice for someone who needs lots of personal space and privacy.

Everything! The place is immaculate and the eclectic decor is so over the top amazing. Dave and Becky are the best hosts. And pancake/waffles and eggs made to order — delicious.
