Wonderful stay with Amed and the family, very well located, delicious food cooked by Amed’s wife in the kitchen, ate there every day. Amed made our stay wonderful, supporting and helping in any possible way. Highly recommended, great VFM.

I stayed in the bungalow in the middle of the rice fields. Such a beautiful location. The free breakfast was amazing with a fruit salad with fruit from Amed’s own garden (the passion fruit is amazing especially). And Amed treats you like your family and offers really nice tours around the rice fields, monkey forest, waterfalls, and the local villages and more. If you want to support a local in growing his own Homestay business please book this place!

Both rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated. I felt very comfortable. Amet and his family are very kind and helpful. I went on tours with Amet, which were wonderful, and I was able to take a cooking class with his sister. I felt very integrated into the family.

Beautiful wooden hut in nature. Comfortable room, good bathroom and shower, good location. Wonderful owners who were so helpful and friendly, did the walking tour through them which was a great day. Also very cute puppy.

Really fantastic homestay. Amed is an amazing host that will make everything to make you feel comfortable. He gave me an unforgettable experience, welcoming me for a family celebration and involving me in the preparation (cooking, chatting and sharing with everyone there). I asked him if he could show me local traditions, and he went above and beyond all my expectations. The room is also very nice with everything you need to have a pleasant stay. Highly recommend if you want to experience the true Lombok!

Staying at this homestay was an unforgettable experience. It’s not just a place to sleep — it’s a true homestay in every sense of the word. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was welcomed into a family. You live on a shared piece of land with different family members around, and the warmth and authenticity of the interactions make it feel like home. The owners are incredibly attentive, always present when needed but never intrusive. Their care and hospitality strike the perfect balance. There are also a variety of thoughtfully curated tours offered by the host, and I highly recommend taking part in them — they add so much value to the stay. And finally, the food — absolutely outstanding. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and prepared with so much heart. This place is a gem, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, welcoming, and enriching travel experience.

I really enjoyed staying at Syaqila Homestay - it's located near to rice padi fields (I stayed in an apartment in the main building but there is also an option to stay in a cabin with bathroom in the padi field). My host Amet was wonderful and did everything in his power to make my stay enjoyable. We did a motorbike tour to waterfalls, sarong weavers, bamboo weavers, a spice farm and pottery - and none of it felt over touristy but was in fact interesting. The next day we visited Monkey Forest - well worth it for the ebony leaf monkeys (if lucky you're spot an orange baby!). Amet introduced me to a free/donation yoga/meditation place there also. We also visited the local market and bought some favourite local foods like ferns (and later durian). Amet and his wife cooked these perfectly. The food was abesolutely delicious! And the free breakfast comes with a generous portion of fruit - including passionfruit grown on the upstairs veranda where you eat and can enjoy resting in a hammock. Amet also encouraged me to climb Sangkareang which turned out to be the highlight of my trip to Lombok.

Everything was nice. Location in the middle of ricefields, beautiful view and nice place to rest. The family is very kind and helpful. Thank you for hosting us. 🙏
