For those looking for a secluded, quiet accommodation that embraces natural, (presumably) local bamboo materials this is a wonderful choice in Ubud area. Every detail is thought of in the bungalows in terms of its natural bamboo interior; even the AC was beautifully covered by wood. The bed was comfortable, the outdoor shower a lovely extra besides the indoor shower and a bath, the bed nicely under a mosquito net as this is indeed in the nature and there are mosquitoes. I enjoyed every dish and I would bet that even non-vegans and non-vegetarians would well survive with the kitchen of this small resort. Some commentators mentioned the frogs, yes, there are frogs and other animals in the nature! :-) During my stay there was a retreat (which I wish would have been communicated to me while booking), but the resort arranged a very good Balinese yoga teacher for private classes. Although they couldn’t be arranged in the shala did to the retreat, it was still lovely to start days with yoga in such a calm environment in front of my bungalow. Finally, the architecture of this place is magnificent, it’s been designed with a Vision. I’ve visited Bali numerous times, and must say Solana ranks very high on my long list!

There aren’t many restaurants, spas or cafes nearby. The food was so great though that it wasn’t a problem. For anything else, you’ll need to move in crowded Ubud, be ready to spend time in the traffic. The resort is very helpful in organising transportation though.

I am so grateful that I found Solana. Or maybe Solana found me? This place is a slice of hidden paradise. It backs onto a running river with lush rainforest around it and the gardens are just simply stunning. The food was amazing. But most importantly, the staff went above & beyond to accommodate my needs. They made the stay impeccable. The rooms were very clean & stunning! Such great value for money. Although this venue is 25/30 minutes away from the main centre of Ubud, I enjoyed getting a scooter in when needed. It added to the adventure. This place is PERFECT to unwind and heal the soul.

Such a fabulous experience! The food was delicious and very healthy. The view, architecture, vibes, room, outdoor shower, staff friendliness - everything was excellent. Thank you for creating such a wonderful oasis in Ubud.

Nothing really

Beautiful hotel, the pool and breakfast area are gorgeous and breakfast is amazing. The rooms are with outside bathroom and shower are uniquely designed.

The pool area overlooking a lush landscape is real amazing. Small downside is that the pool is relatively small. However we did not experience it as a real issue since the pool area does not get too busy.

Not enough illumination at night that made me step into the swimming pool while trying to reach the lobby.
